Demo patch v2.0.7

  • Start game balancing: set rodent's hp to 5, boar to 6, instead of 7 to ease beginning. Hopefully no impact on leaderboards.

  • Replace 'Gear:' by 'Weapon:' or 'Armor:' to avoid confusion about wearing both shield and armor which is impossible. The player can wear either a shield or an armor, not both.

  • Corrected typo in the game over screen: "enemies slain"

After uploading the player's score to the Steam leaderboard, the leaderboards are now refreshed with a full list.

Demo Update

A changelog for the past minor updates v2.0.1-v2.0.5:

  • Normal difficulty is now known as Champion

  • Treasure chests can be sold again with "Sell all" button

  • Fix bug that allowed outside map travel

  • Add message telling if chosen difficulty enables Steam achievements

  • Reset button was not shown in Game Over/Scores screens

  • Hurt animation was playing even if damage was 0

  • Fix health max for Hunter and Barbarian

  • Left menu could be stuck open in some screens

  • Leaderboards now refresh after score upload

  • New game in custom difficulty should keep settings difficulty

  • Few UI fixes

Devlog #1

Since last version, many improvements, new features, and fixes have been implemented to make the game richer, smoother, and more strategic. Heres a quick overview of what I'm working on!

Brand-New Combat System


The combat system has been updated since the first version to provide more dynamic and tactical battles. Expect more variation in combats through abilities.

Abilities Are Here!


Introducing a brand-new Ability system:
  • Items and characters can now hold special abilities, some with conditional triggers.
  • A dedicated Ability capsule in the UI lets you see the abilities attached, with its description in a tooltip.
  • Lots of unique abilities have been added: Wandering Soul, Veil of Retaliation, Heartpiercer, Amber Edge, and more to discover.

Your Own Adventure Journal


A new Journal system will soon track key events, discoveries, and goals. Youll never lose sight of your journey again.

New Stories and Discoveries


The world has been expanded with new context-based stories, including:
  • Unique events for travel and terrain types.
  • Interactions with non playing characters.
  • Special events triggered by your level, choices, or actions.

Other Notable Additions


  • Bug fixes.
  • Tweaked balancing.
  • Massive internal refactors for easier features addition.

And Finally


This update also focused on quality of life improvements and preparation for the Steam Next Fest, with a trimmed down demo version made just for the event. Tons of bug fixes and under the hood optimizations have been completed.

Playtest update #2

This is a major version update, local saves will be reset. - New rules, combat is now 1dx+att vs 1dx+def - Swapped Worg and Spectre - XP are fixed per monsters, not computed - Focus bug fixes - Right buttons are disabled when not available - Add Steam achievements (unlock at normal difficulty at least) - Add Steam leaderboards (at normal difficulty at least) - Fast combat setting is replaced by Veteran and Voidcall achievements - Add Reset button is restart a quickly restart a run

  • Black arrow showing possible moves now indicates the button/key to press
