Quality of Life feature:


If you lose connection during a run, the game will prompt you with a "Reconnect" button.

The reconnect button will always appear if you lose connection, and you can keep reconnecting even if you lose connection many times during a run.

Amethyst Bow: Common --> Rare | 25 gold --> 35 gold.

Ruby Knife: Rare --> Common | 35 gold --> 30 gold | 3.7s cooldown --> 3.4s cooldown | 3 bleed --> 2 bleed.

  • Elven Archer (Day 6) Take my bow: Gain a regular bow with +3 multicast --> +4 multicast.

Other:


  • The word "Permanently" was added to Wild Magic's text.

  • Refined Spear given a slight green tint to signal the "Elven" type.

  • Silver Lance sprite completely reworked to better distinguish it from Refined Spear.

  • The "Sharpen" and "Upgrade" encounter now works on Magic type items as well.

  • Void Stinger sprite slightly changed so it doesn't get confused for a dagger.

  • Added "." separation for damage on The Oak. (I.e. 1.000.000)

Fixes:


  • Some items that triggered other items, didn't trigger them as many times as they were supposed to.

  • Snowflakes, Moonveil and Lunar Codex projectiles sometimes moved slower than intended on 60 FPS. This has been fixed.

  • Items gained from a triple chest no longer has a chance of being "on sale" from the salesman encounter.

Remember that the PvP environment might still contain old / unnerfed builds for an hour or two.

  • Now shows a gold icon instead of "$" at the reroll button.
  • Leaving or losing connection mid-game no longer removes a flat 100 rating, but rather calculates your rating gain/loss based on trophies. I.e. leaving with 5 trophies result in no rating change.
  • Time Tonic encounter now states what Time Tonic actually does.

Fixes:


  • Removed the "Dark" tag from Coldshot, which had been added by mistake.
  • Coldshot and Midas Diary no longer work from inventory during combat.
  • Cobalt Spear now correctly consumes bleed as well.
  • "Heavy Armor" and Dusk Shield now trigger Warrior Shield damage on start of combat shielding.
  • Pausing and then entering a new screen (like the combat screen) before unpausing no longer causes bugs.
  • Projectiles no longer slow down a lot when playing with 60/90 FPS.
  • The Elven tag and other added tags to items will now properly work on enemy items.

  • The game now supports 60/90/120 FPS rather than being hardlocked to 120 FPS. The game will check your monitor refresh rate at startup, and set FPS accordingly. If you change the FPS manually, the game will save and remember it.
  • The Oak now has a different Tower skin. Big thank you to SwordInTheDuck!
  • Removed the option to toggle off item stats in the tower.
  • Added visual indicators to items that buff other items in a certain direction. "Give item to the Left X.." will show a left arrow.
  • Astral Hammer now shows a small number telling how many maces you have. It lights green if you have the 4 required for its effect.
  • High Blade now shows a small number telling how many Moon/Elven items you have.

Balance:


  • Nightquill: Legendary --> Epic | 60 gold --> 45 gold | Ability rephrased to: "Your start of combat effects trigger an extra time."

Encounters enter the oaken woods!


I managed to sneak in some more content. There are now 10 different encounters in the game, 5 of which will appear in a run. You can see your encounter history beside the tower, as well as your opponents encounter history.



Day 3: Always Priest (gives Max HP) Day 4: Pirate Potion Seller Shieldbearer Warrior Day 6: Chronomancer Elder Enchanter Day 8: Always Cleric (Gives Max hp / regain hearts). Day 9: Celestia Master Aldros

Balance:


  • Darksteel (Common): 25 damage --> 20 damage.
  • Cursed Necklace (Legendary): No longer works on Natures Call.
  • Emerald Sword (Legendary): 3 bleed --> 2 bleed. | 4.4s cooldown --> 4.8s cooldown.
  • Nightquill (Legendary): 55 gold --> 60 gold.

  • You now gain +30% max health on level up rather than +25%.
  • The medic has gotten a new job as a priest.

  • Added an indicator in the shop (underneath level) to see what chest reward you will earn from triples. Hover with mouse to see what levels the reward will upgrade.
As always, the PvP environment will take an hour or two to flush out old/unnerfed player builds from the pool. Early round builds will be flushed quicker. As my exams approach, I will not be doing more updates until early june. //Bocary

Leveling up has now become more expensive/risky than previous. New: On day 3, a special encounter will now appear. The plan is to add a few more encounters to the game. General Balance changes: Leveling up now starts at 56 XP required rather than 32 XP required, making leveling up more expensive in general throughout the game. Winning a fight now grants 12 XP at day start, losing grans 8 XP (Rather than a static +4 XP). These two changes makes it harder to level up manually, and makes the process of leveling something that happens more automatically (a mix between Super Auto Pets and Teamfight Tactics).
