[u]Some news to start:[/u]
Work on a major update stopped at 80% two months ago, but we will continue development soon.
Almost all graphics and code are finished, mostly texts/sounds/balance remain.
Also, so far, after the release of the version for Nintendo Switch, there have been a few fixes and now we decided to update the PC version along with them.
And also added support for gamepads!
Here is a list of exactly supported gamepads:
Windows:
- Any xInput (XBox and analogs)
- Sony DualShock 3/4 + Dualsence
MacOS:
- Sony DualShock 3/4
- XBox 360 controller
- Anything else is not guaranteed, as MacOS does not allow the game to change the mapping of connected gamepads.
Linux Ubuntu (other systems are not officially supported by Game Maker Studio):
- [u]Sony DualShock 4[/u]
- There may be others, but it was not possible to check, since the virtual machine reacts strangely to connected gamepads.
- It is also likely that Linux users will need to install drivers for gamepads:

We will continue (as far as possible under the current conditions), work on updating!
P.S. If the gamepad buttons do not appear in the game, but the joystick itself works, then in the game settings in the 'Controller' tab in Steam, you need to disable the 'Steam input mode'.

Today, the brave adventurers at Four Quarters have revealed the first major update for Loop Hero, focusing on player feedback, quality of life improvements, new tiles and enemies.
New Features include:
- Save On The Go: The new update features an option to save and exit the game in the middle of an expedition, preserving your progress.
- Perks Deck: A new option that locks boss perks so they don't drop in the expedition perk pool.
- Escape From Battle: Safety-conscious heroes can now escape during battles with 30 percent of their resources.
- Speed Up: The speed button now includes up to 4x expedition speed and 2.5x battle speed.
- Inventory Management: Items can now be locked in the inventory by right-clicking on them.
- Deck Switching: Decks can now be switched in the cards, supplies, and perks menus.
- New Tiles, New Enemies: Three new tiles and two new enemies have been added to the game, but its up to heroes to find them...

We've decided to release QoL update v1.1 in Beta first to resolve any unforeseen consequences. We've tested it, of course, and resolved everything we've found, but we still might've missed something. Play at Your Own Risk!
It may be problematic to return to the public v1.013 version with a beta save, so PLEASE, COPY YOUR NEW V1.1.0 SAVE TO A DIFFERENT SLOT.
You can then return to v1.013, if you dislike the patch for some reason. *sharpens blade*
To access the Beta, right click Loop Hero in your Steam Library and go to Properties > Betas. Select "beta1.1" from the dropdown menu and Steam should queue the download.

Hopefully fixed the issue with some people getting a crash in the beginning of expedition
Fixed the "book worm" achievement not unlocking until finding the dark slime. If you have all the articles unlocked, just go into the encyclopedia and you should get it
Added a sound when the hero is damaged by healing on swamps for using oblivion with "blissful ignorance" trait, from meadows or from "surveyor" trait

== IMPORTANT UPDATE ==
You might notice a new toggle on the bottom of the options menu - "alternative timing method" - it can fix freeses or lags for you, or maybe high CPU usage and overheating.
If you have those issues, try to switch it on (or off), and reboot the game if that doesn't work.
The button text is english-only for now, really sorry for that, will make it localized as soon as we can.
Other things patched:
Hopefully fixed "save corrupted" issue
Fixed an issue with game not giving out demo achievements to players
Removed a memory leak
Made an alternative save backup system, now the game is a little more safe from corrupted save files
Fixed "tripped" achievement not working in some cases
Hopefully fixed an error with necromancer on the 4th chapter boss
Bandits stealing things became a little more fair
Stamina loss is reduced when attacking with "blind fury" or "lightning fast" traits
Primal matter can't drop second ancestral crypt, arsenal, or zero milestone
Deleting ancestral crypt doesn't allow for infinite resurrections
Ancestral crypt is now showing as a 3rd type card
Battle fields no more turn into shipwrecks when placed diagonally to the river type tiles
Skeleton mages are actually mages now
Resources/items button saves its state between expeditions
Outpost dialogue now can't show instead of the boss dialogue

Fixed necromancer's skeletons getting stuck in ghost chains when killing the ghost at the same time as dying
Also made a mistake in ghost spawning code, but reuploaded, it's fixed now
Possible fix of 4th chapter boss critical error when playing as necromancer
Fixed the red healthbar issue when fighting the 4th chapter boss
Fixed the secret battle issue with battle window freesing after the first win
