Are you ready for this second major update on the early access?
I think you're not.
Difficulty Tweaks
This game, its campaign in particular, is a beast, I know. It's actually how I wanted it to be in the first place! But, thanks to your feedback, I realize it can be frustrating for a lot of you, that's why I decided to tweak the difficulty down a bit.
Here is a list of the most important changes:
- Characters incapacitated during the campaign missions don't die anymore and are still available when starting a new chapter
- Skills points are now wons by each participating character (still available after completing a chapter)
- Characters now start the campaign with 3 skill points
- Reduced the overall difficulty (+10% aiming duration for enemies)
- Tweaked the faction modifiers (less maluses on the bad guys)
- Civilians are now be present in the "High Threat" difficulty missions (SWAT and FBI factions will fail the mission if any civilian is killed. The other ones will get away with just a score malus)
Ballistic Shields
This was one of the
most requested features, it's now a reality!
The 4 new ballistic shields will protect you and your teammates from frontal incoming fire.

Each shield has it's own authorized weapon types, some can only be used with handguns, others support SMGs...

...and the heavy one (more suited for team protection) will require your agent to forget about attacking!

Every faction doesn't have access to those shinny babies so they have to make up their own. Cheap but still effective!

The counterpart for most of the shields is obviously slower movements and rotation, making it difficult to defend against lateral or rear threats. Be sure someone covers your 6!
Sniping Spots
The snipers received some well deserved love in this update: they can now be deployed on specific spots where they won't be reachable by enemies and have a good angle on the external windows of the building.

Agents on sniping spots are their to support the rest of the team and can't move from their position.
Obviously, only sniper rifles are authorized on these spawns.
New Shops
In order to differentiate the 4 factions of the game even more, each of them now has its own shop with a specific set of weapons, grenades and shields.

The shop UI also received an important usability update: the ability to easily compare weapons. Right-click on a specific weapon to select it then place your pointer over another one to compare their stats.

As you can see, the weapon tooltips now show their detailed stats.
New weapons
In those new shops, you'll find 5 brand new weapons:
The "Light50", aka "tank killer". Fortunately, there's no tank in the game...

Another long distance killing machine for the bad guys, the "W40".

The "Twins" won't give you much choice, run or die.

The "Blaaka47" is the most precise AR so far, be sure to keep your distance though...

Fan of the old mob movies? You should like the "Chicagun" ;)

I've also tweaked the stats of all the weapons to better highlight their differences.
Special Discount
To celebrate this new major update, the game will get a
10% DISCOUNT FOR 2 DAYS.
Get it while it's hot and tell your tactical savvy friends about it!
Note that this discount cumulates with the soundtrack bundle, so you can get the bundle for almost the regular price of the game alone.
