v1.22 is a minor update, bringing the underlying Focus Engine to v4.14.8. This should fix validation VR errors on startup, among possibly other minor performance issues. I found a problem in world generation, similar to an issue I had with 8089, that caused consistent seeds to not be generated properly from world names. Now overall maps should be the same when using the same seed, which is particularly important for speedruns. Enemies, blocks and "tree" limbs will still be different for each map, as these are random small variations. - Phr00t
Updated Focus Engine to the latest, which fixes how haptics is handled. Haptics should be felt now when firing with the Valve Index controllers.

FPS Infinite has been updated to v1.17 and includes an engine update and fixes. 1) Fixed the endgame timer to display the time correctly, instead of just 0:00 2) Fixed the mouse rotating unexpectedly when clicking different buttons 3) Fixed particles not rendering on Linux (got rid of the noparticles argument) 4) Improved position updates from OpenVR to reduce latency 5) Updated MacOS libraries, although Mac is not well supported (since OSX doesn't support Vulkan and support through MoltenVK is experimental). 6) Updated to Focus Engine v3.18.8 (which has other minor fixes/performance improvements) 7) Includes NET 5 in Mac/Linux builds now as standalone runtime Enjoy!
FPS Infinite's engine was updated to Focus Engine v3.17, which includes a fix for Windows 10 scaling (should help setting resolutions and fullscreen modes when Windows 10 scaling is enabled). Various Vulkan rendering improvements are included too, which may get rid of any remaining very rare crashes. 5089's Sequel is undergoing balancing and testing has moved onto Steam recently, although there isn't a public page for it yet. If Linux has issues rendering particles, they should now automatically disable themselves and not require the "noparticles" argument. If you still have issues, or have new issues, you may have a distribution with an old libc6 version (like Debian). Use the "beta" branch called "old_libc6" if this is the case. I updated to SDL v2.0.14, which requires more recent libc6.
FPS Infinite will now use .NET 5 on Linux and Mac (please let me know your experience!), which should help performance and long-term reliability. Other engine improvements include Vulkan updates (memory allocation) which may help some AMD systems particularly.
Users were reporting fullscreen crashes and freezes, which upon investigation looks related to Windows 10 display scaling. This update should address the crashes, but depending on your scaling settings, you may still notice some odd behavior -- I recommend disabling the Windows 10 "fix blurry apps" option if you have scaling enabled and want to use this game fullscreen. OpenVR has been updated to v1.14.15. Testing has begun (albeit very limited) on 5089's sequel on Discord @ https://discord.gg/4quab2d
FPS Infinite has been updated with improved water and fog shaders, Focus Engine v3.10.1 and a new VR comfort mode. I removed the "teleport" VR mode, which didn't fit the genre and had its issues. Instead, a dynamic field of view reduction system is put in its place to manage motion sickness. It can be enabled in Options. If you had VR Teleport movement enabled before, this new Comfort Mode will be enabled already. 5089's sequel is just starting very early, alpha testing! The engine that drives FPS Infinite (and 5089's sequel) has been updated -- this includes some performance improvements and a Vulkan rendering fix that should address flickering (which was worse on some hardware). 5089's sequel is under heavy development and much has been already done: open-world generation, combat, item programming, questing... certainly more content and polishing is being worked on. You asked for it, you got it! Snap turning can be enabled in Options, and the traditional head movement is now default (but can be turned off in Options). The right touchpad's left/right is used to perform 90 degree turns when "Snap Turn" is enabled. If you have a saved game using those buttons already, make sure you reassign them in-game using the handheld display (you can point to abilities to reassign them). Hopefully things are stable & I can start focusing on the next big thing: 5089's sequel!
