Sorry for the huge delay, it took a while to get all of this update ready! Since we last spoke:
Localization for 12 languages has been added! By human translators, but if you see any anomalies, please send a bug report.
Level editor with integrated Steam Workshop uploader is now live! There's an out-of-date PDF you can use to get started with, but I'll be making a new one soon with the new technique. Thanks to the testers who helped enormously with finding those hard to reach bugs, it's now as close to gold as I can make it for the time being... again, please report any bugs you come across!
All-new campaign by JJJJ included! You can import it from the new bonus_campaigns folder included in the game install location, or you can play it from Steam by subscribing to it from the workshop!
Here's the full list of fixes and stuff:
(level editor) can't test/export level if Bryce or Doubler start on hazards or exit
(level editor) can't test/export level if immovables or enemies start on hazards, walkways or exit
(level editor) can't test/export level if movable items start on hazards
(level editor) various enemies visual offset correct in editor
(level editor) doors/pushpads now require matching amount (1 pushpad = 1 door, 1 double pushpad = 2 doors, etc)
(level exporter) shows which level an error occured
backgrounds bigger coverage for large maps (tried to get infinite backgrounds to work but couldn't)
some plus+ block tiles removed that incorrectly covered ground
some plus+ block tiles added to plug up unintentional oobs
moveables on coals now have particles
localization added for 12 languages
settings page redone for localization, easier navigation and maginally cleaner aesthetic
level editor UI redone for localization
btlevextractor added to game folder
improved functionality of Steam Workshop uploader
fixed import level bug if consecutive workshop btpaks loaded
screenshot option added to level editor test menu
back to level select added to escape menu
gamepad mouse now works in level editor (not preferable, though)
added clear trophies to bthackr
new official campaign in bonus_campaigns folder
There's a slight bug with uploading to workshop from Mac... in that it might crash and hang and die, but don't worry cause the campaign actually seems to upload and I don't know why yet, let's find out soon!
Thanks again for your patience, support and love for Bryce Tiles, it's the little game that could and I'm happy that everyone who's played it and enjoyed it keeps coming back for more!
Also, check out Bryce World, the first ever custom campaign uploaded to workshop! It's really awesome and challenging, huge thanks to Lepidoptera for making this![dynamiclink href="https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3484079723"][/dynamiclink]
Here's to more updates soon, more new custom campaigns and more fixes for those !

Sorry it's been a while since the last update, I've been trying to get the word out on the streets about Bryce Tiles' existence! If you've bought the game and not left a review yet, please throw a couple of words down, I'd really appreciate it! Until then, keep having fun playing the campaigns, discovering the secrets of Bryce Tiles and making your own levels! Hopefully the level editor will be ready for full release soon, JJJJ has currently got it in full [strike]dogfooding[/strike] testing mode and is working on a Workshop Exclusive campaign... stay tuned for more on that! If you want to test the level editor and workshop integration, simply run the game with -leveleditor launch option. Bug reports! Please send any here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
A big fix for level editor lockboxes, minor fix of the lasers in level editor and music playing after test mode. I've enabled workshop visibility so now you can subscribe to other campaigns. I'm not sure why the campaign loader brings in all of the submitted campaigns currently, but it's actually kinda cool cause you can play everything on workshop straight from Bryce Tiles. Bug reports: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
A few little fixes! If you're an escape key spammer, please test it out in weird places now and see if it breaks! The awful hack I put in for SteamDeck should only work on SteamOS now, but I'll try and make it less hacky in future (newer Godot has a fix for the SteamDeck double input bug, but I'm still on an ancient version that requires crude workarounds). Send me more bugs, please: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
I think I fixed the offset objects in the level editor bug, please say I did this time. Bug reports: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
More level editor fixes, I really hope this fixes the offset items bug and some more of the crashes. Please keep testing and accept my apologies for all of these bugs, the level editor is still very beta and needs a lot of playing around with... so thanks everyone so far! Report bugs form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
Another fix for the level editor, this should stop it from weirding out and breaking tile/object positions (if window size is adjusted?), also another slightly improved attempt to trick YSort into not flickering (the idea came to me in a dream as I was waking so if it doesn't work, please don't blame me). There will doubtlessly be more bugs with the level editor so please report anything you find via the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
The repairs of the level editor, it goes on, because I rushed it out with a bunch of stuff broken, oh well! Now you can make and test secret level themes (if you've unlocked them) cause before I completely forgot to finish that part of the exporter. I'm having trouble reproducing a bug that's been reported a couple of times where the floor tiles are offset from the objects in test mode, if you have a .btlev file that does this, please upload it in the bug reports form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
Just pushing a patch to fix a bunch of bugs with the level editor, testing levels should work now, there shouldn't be any crashes when saving and you can use the escape menu during a test level. As always, please try and break this thing apart, the level editor is held together with bubblegum (always has been, always will) so any weirdness or issues you come across or user interfacing annoyances, don't forget to fill in the bug report, it's really appreciated! Here's the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2XEtp4xkFLBgQ1aRlJWqQ70xI4TaJG08DqRLl752asEv17g/viewform
Another patch, phew, these are getting frequent! The doubler exit bug should be fixed finally, but if it's still possible to break, please file a report: https://forms.gle/9YmGkL8X7vV32CJPA
Blocked doors would spam an open sound on each move, that should be fixed now (leave a block or enemy on an open door and unpress the pushpad, if it keeps making a sound, I haven't fixed it)
I made a tiny fix to the level editor so the exporter (which broke right before release) now should work, but it's still very much in beta mode, so if you'd like to test the level editor, just add the line -leveleditor to the launch options in Steam (or add to a shortcut):
Here's the Level Editor Handbook I threw together in the early hours of the morning (around 4) so if it's a bit rough, my apologies: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_Kh8_DmHuTgYiDSfg3zCGHRu37DL5H7Q/view?usp=sharing
Please test the level editor/exporter out and test out the Workshop uploader! I'll enable Workshop visibility on the store page (so you can download other people's campaigns) once there's no confirmed breaking bugs or other embarrassing issues. For now, you can make levels, export campaigns, upload and download from your subscriptions and your own uploads and play campaign files directly from your disk. You can also send .btpak files to friends to play.
Sorry I didn't get the bug report bugs fixed sooner, Google is so great at sending me automatic emails for everything it can besides the one time I really needed it. There might be a bug or crash with the Steam stats getter, but I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not, it seems to always send and receive the stats for me so just report if your speed/push trophies aren't being counted up (you get a stat update every 20 levels I think). Double Rumble should actually work now and not crash on exits, and some other weird things I managed to fix by hacking together solutions that least breaks the 4 years of duct-taped game. Made it to 10 reviews! 30 is the next stop I think? If you haven't reviewed yet, please leave one as I'm trying to prove to myself and the world of indie game devs that: [olist]
Sorry it's been a while since the last patch, I wanted to get everything working and tested before I submitted it. After some feedback I wanted to fix some issues, add some more secrets and achievements in and tidy up some of the old issues. The settings page is now back to how it was before, the GUI scale has the immediate visual feedback when you change the slider again but I cleaned up the placement a little so it's not as tough to navigate as it was (still tough though). Main menu scaling actually works now I've had a little time to work on it (I didn't just before launch). Trophies now store and show in the level select, which is nice if you're trying to get a personal completionist run. If you have a Mac, please give the Mac build a test, I'm working on getting myself set-up with something so I can test myself, but for now there is at least a build available. Next up I'll try and get the level editor and workshop support working, I had to remove all of it for release as I just didn't have time to get it working, but hopefully now I can dedicate a little more time to that. If you've bought Bryce Tiles and enjoyed it, I'd really appreciate a review to help try and get the word out! More updates coming soon and thanks again for playing, after 4 years it's really nice to see everyone enjoying playing! 12/05/25 version 1.0.6 - restored old settings page style, improved positioning of options - improved input handling (now simultaneously held key presses override previous keys) - improved main menu gui scaling - removed diagonal joysticks (didn't work anyway) - added push and time trophies to level select page - added mac build to steam (not sure it runs properly yet) - added windowed x2 and x3 sizes (they don't save on quit yet) 05/05/25 version 1.0.5 - new OOB secrets and achievements 04/05/25 version 1.0.4 - fixed rover, additional campaign and bonus/final achievements - made settings page easier to see (stretch to screen, ignore gui scaling) - fixed oblivion-mode level 100 being unwinnable (oblivion crates now won't spawn on pushpads) - launch option -clearach will clear steam achievements (no warning so only use if you really need to) 02/05/25 version 1.0.3 - new achievement and secret
01/05/25 version 1.0.2
Hey everyone, after 4 years of development, Bryce Tiles is finally here!
This is version 1.0.0 and hopefully there won't be any game-breaking bugs, but if you do come across anything, please send it along via the bug-reporting google form: https://forms.gle/hhS7AYHNs4RWBGSQ6
There's a nice 15% launch discount, nearly 30 achievements (one shy), lots of secrets to discover and 100 main levels with 30 bonus puzzles in the additional campaigns!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2144990/Bryce_Tiles/
There was also a level editor and workshop upload feature that I had hoped to have working for launch, but a few things broke and it'll take a little longer to get that working again! Once it's in some kinda stable state, I'll share the launch option to test it out with and eventually update the game with it available properly.
The soundtrack is also available with over 3 hours of songs and variations, and there's a secret tool included you can use to hack the game... but I'd recommend you play through first so as not to spoil the surprises and secrets!

I'll be slowly updating social media with the news of the release, some clips of the levels being played and maybe some secret hints! Come down to the discord to ask any questions or tell us what you think about the game, we're a small but dedicated community of Bryce fans! https://discord.gg/5DVu6dh
Thanks to everyone who played the original BME and had fun and waited for this semi-sequel! I think there's even more interesting things to discover in Bryce Tiles and hopefully you'll enjoy all of the work that was put into it! Keep on Brycein'!

Ever wanted to push, push, push your way to success? Feelin' a little desperate to glide into position? Movin', groovin' and cruisin' through an isometric tile-space of colorful, pre-rendered visuals and cool-toon characters? Look no further, Bryce Tiles is here!
Be prepared for a box-pushing time! Bryce Tiles is a post- MSDOSWare game set in the early 00's! Bryce has discovered a new time portal in his Klik 'N' Complete Box and has used it once more to return to 25 years ago, when EuroMaxi K&C was shared by Nash!
In an entirely isometric Meiersian world, he pushes, slides, swims, flees, rolls and collects the missing instruments around more than 130 levels of nostalgic sokoban action.
Just take your little man and push him around... seriously, it's never been easier!
Up, down, left, right, hit all those hard-to-reach spots (not diagonally though!) and make it out of the level as fast as you can... or in as few amount as pushes!
You'll encounter sinking sands, still (but deep!) waters, dangerously fast rapids, moving floors, slidey ice and burning hot coals as you push those boxes around!
Plan ahead and determine which pushable object is most suitable for the environment!
Rolling balls (hint: they don't stop by themselves!), Scrump The Ruff™, laser beams (with mirrors to reflect them... yes, we know where you saw them first!)...
...locked doors, push-pads, it's all there to try and confuse you... but you'll stay one step ahead!
Plenty of tricks and traps to keep you busy, challenging puzzle designs and beautifully pre-rendered surroundings to keep you entertained for hours!
There's only one Bryce Tiles! ↓↓↓
