v3.0.4 - Frost Flower Major Expansion

Heyyo adventurers, CraftedCircuitry here. Im finally showcasing and releasing the biggest update to Deep Dark Wrath, v3.0.4 Frost Flower! New areas, new mechanics, stronger enemies, even stronger Enchanted Cards, and more so lets dive right in!
Added:

  • A Frosty New Continuation to the Lore
  • 3 New Frozen Areas
  • New Frozen Enemies
  • New Enchanted Cards
  • The Flame Dash
  • New Frozen Mechanics
  • New Sword Skins and Armor Trims
  • New Post-Frozen Areas Endgame
  • Native Linux / SteamOS Port
  • Linux / SteamOS Port Moving of Save Data from Steams Proton Compatibility Layer to Native Downloads Folder Feature (explained below)
  • As with the Android APK from before being always included, the Linux version is also included in the Installed Files(no matter what OS you use) so the update size of this Expansion will be much bigger than usual.
Updated:
  • Cleaned Up Library Entries
  • Instructions at the Safe Area as the Flame Dash is added
  • With the help of the Frost, the Full Powered Construct becomes available
  • Game Manual
Fixed:
  • Fixed Projectile Spawning of Enemies not stopping even when game is paused
  • Cutscene Fixes
  • Fixed Sword Skins and Armor Trims not applying after Loading a Backup
  • Fixed Generic Controller and Steam Deck compatibility
  • Revamped all Controller inputs, especially UI Inputs
  • Frosted Cards Library Entry has glitched Type
  • Fixed Firebrand Task deactivated even when Firebrand is not active
  • Fixed Point Change showing on Player when deducting 0
  • Minor Bugfixing and Further Optimizations

Native Linux Support Deep Dark Wrath now has a proper Linux build. I mainly did this so the Save Backups are natively accessible so you dont have to scour through your Proton Compatibility folder. This does also mean the update size is going to be a lot bigger. With this, the Save Data has been moved. Scroll down near the bottom of this Update article, or read through the Read Me or Official Game Manual accompanied by this Update in the Installed Files to see how moving your Save Data from Proton to Native works.
The Frost Flower After completing the 7 Oracle Cards, a cool breeze fills the entire Dungeon. Opening up the Frozen Areas from the Safe Area and exploring the Construct area lets you see an opening and may answer where the Icicles of the Construct have come from. Could this area house a power strong enough to conquer the Darkness?
The Flame Dash After exploring the new Frozen Areas a bit, you are granted access to the powerful Flame Dash. This allows you to lunge forward in any direction for a price of your Stamina. New Cards like Dash Blast even bolster it further and make it a deadly way to attack!
New Frozen Areas and Enemies Explore 3 new Frozen Areas, an uncharted area of the Ruins, the Frozen Ruins, and the areas near Mount Wintermoon. The Frozen Areas also hold new Enemies like the Frost Guard and the Ice Spirits. Theyre much tankier and have new attacks like the Frosts own projectile, and the powerful Frost Beam! New Enchanted Cards A ton of new Enchanted Cards become available with the Frozen Areas and Enemies. From Cards that boost your Dash like Dash Blast, boost your Fireball like Waning Frost, or powering up your Oracle options with the mysterious Storm Cards, you now have a ton more options to dive deeper into the Dungeon!
The Frost Construct With the power of Frost Shards, the Frost Construct becomes fully powered, allowing you to fuse Enchanted Cards you have to your hearts content. It is no longer limited by Wandering Flames.
New Sword Skins and Armor Trims Of course, with a new update comes new Sword Skins and Armor Trims! Frost Beam Swords, Icicle Swords, more Scarves, and more are now available for you to try! Summer options like the Straw Hat and the Umbrella Sword are also available!
Optimizations and Bugfixing I originally wrote here that the game got a 5 FPS hit in performance, but instead v3.0 Frost Flower actually has good performance improvements to show for. Due to upgrading to Godot v3.6, not only did some bugs get fixed, Deep Dark Wrath also got a bit more optimized. The lighting was pretty heavy previously and is now fixed, which makes the game run a lot smoother now. I also fixed a bunch of bugs and compatibility issues with Linux and the Steam Deck. While playable in previous versions, generic controllers and the Steam Deck did not bode well with the UI so that needed to be fixed. What Could've Been? I had one last big idea for after the Frost Flower Expansion, codenamed the Send Off update. You get to fight the Darkness in a proper boss fight, and because of its demise, you get an alternate ending compared to what this v3.0 Expansion will have. Other things I had in mind were local or online multiplayer mechanics, like Trading with Other Players or a Co-op way to dive the Dungeon. I also had ideas for a true Perma-death challenge where the Save you have(since you only have one) will have its progress erased when the Adventurer fails the Dungeon. These were ideas I had written down way back then. But as much as these sounded cool back then, these wont be added to Deep Dark Wrath. Final Send-off I will still update this game with bug fixes if any glitches or bugs arise or optimizations if there are any new things I can find. But at the end of it, this is the end for me and Deep Dark Wrath. Its been a wild learning experience and I hope to bring all of these new insights into the future games I make. I will still be avidly playing this on travels or when Im a bit bored and just want to play a nice slightly challenging game. This has been a dream in the making, and while Ive had some tough times with it, its been a wonderful and enjoyable experience to finally make this game a reality. Thank you, all of you, for the support! I post regularly on my Tumblr on projects I do so if you'd like you can stay tuned there!. But for the most part, this has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now. Until next time!
For Linux and Steam Deck users: To seamlessly move your save file from the previous v2.9.9 version under the Proton layer to the Native Linux Backup: [olist]
  • Boot up Deep Dark Wrath. Dont be alarmed that there is no save file yet.
  • Make sure to not move too much and stay in the Square underneath the Deep Dark Wrath logo.
  • Press and Hold the Standard Attack Button [ LMB / J / Triangle on PS / Y on Xbox ].
  • After holding it, you will be prompted to continue holding to move the save to the Native Downloads Folder.
  • Keep holding it to confirm you will be moving your save.
  • Once the operation is complete, go to the Save Journal at the Campfire, and Load the Backup. Save your Game and now the Save you had before is now successfully moved from the Proton layer to the native. [/olist] To save on battery life, running the Deck at 5W TDP and 45-50 FPS Limit can still provide a relatively smooth experience. Turning On Half-Rate Shading also helps battery life with little to no degradation in quality. Tweaking the Manual GPU Clock speed to lower than 1000 can also stabilize the performance better. The absolute limit is 4W TDP and 24 FPS.

  • Steam Deck Compatibility

Heyyo adventurers! This will be a Quick Info Dump on how Deep Dark Wrath will work on the Steam Deck(as well as SteamOS) users, and certain game mechanics pertaining to Linux, SteamOS, and Steam Deck changes! From personal testing, the game works fine on the Steam Deck. I've been playing and testing mostly on the Steam Deck recently. With v3.0+, certain UI navigation fixes were done to properly allow Steam Deck and Generic Controller users to navigate the UI. Steam Deck Performance Settings Focusing on High Quality and Performance

Linux, SteamOS, and Steam Deck Folders This is basically just the Native Downloads folder of the Linux Distro or the SteamOS Proton Layer. If you use v3.0+, the Native Linux Folder(in the Desktop Mode for Steam Deck and SteamOS) is where the Backups are sent. If you use v2.9.9 and below, the game will use the Proton Layer as there was no Linux version for v2.9.9 and below.
    • Previous Proton Main Save Folder - .local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2891520/pfx/drive_c/users/ste amuser/AppData/Roaming/CraftedCircuitry

    • v3.0+ Native Downloads Folder - ~/Downloads
Moving Save from v2.9.9 and Below on Proton to the v3.0+ Native Linux Files With v3.0+, the game now has a Native Linux version that uses the Native Directory for placing Files and Save Backups of Deep Dark Wrath. [olist]

  • Southeast Asian Games Showcase - Summer 2025

Heyyo, CraftedCircuitry here! Deep Dark Wrath joins the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, and will be on a historically low 40% Sale ($2.99 instead of $4.99) this Summer! Also, here's some little tidbits of the upcoming Frost Flower expansion as the light at the end of this frosty tunnel is nearing! The 40% Sale will only start from June 13th. Wishlist the game so you're updated! Southeast Asian Games Showcase (June 6th to June 20th)
I'm a Filipino, born and raised in the hot and humid tropics of the Philippines, so I decided to join the SEAGS with Deep Dark Wrath! Check out the other hot and cool games showcased on the SEAGS Steam Sale Page, the many upcoming games, many cool demos to try out, and of course, tons of good deals to look out for! Final Polishing
There's only a few things left until the v3.0 Frost Flower expansion is ready to be released. I've done a lot more optimizations as the game tanked pretty badly after I added the 3 new Frozen Areas. The final cutscene has been done but its still needs some iterating so I can make the point come across better. This was also the case with the cutscene of the base Oracle Card goal, I had to pretty much scrap the entire thing back then. But because of that, I made it even better (at least for what I want it to be). Looking Back
All things must come to an end at some point. I had a lot of fun with Deep Dark Wrath, and I'll continue to play it from time to time during my travels. Thank you for the support since I've announced and released this game. It's been a bit of a dream to get this thing out, so I'm extremely happy to finally finish essentially everything about Deep Dark Wrath. If you've played it, I hope you enjoyed as well. This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

    v3.0 Expansion Progress

Heyyo, CraftedCircuitry here! Gonna quickly dish out some updates on Deep Dark Wrath, and its future expansion update, v3.0! v3.0? What is it? If you haven't read my devlogs before, the idea was to follow the path Monster Hunter games usually do. Base Game Release > Events > Big Expansion > Events The final Events part(like v2.0 Depth Challenger) might not happen anymore, but the Big Expansion is something I'm steadfastly building up for. It's looking real nice so far so here's some GIFs of what is to come. You'll have access to new Moves and new Ways to Attack in this Expansion. Make sure to explore them all once you get to the Expansion after the 7th Oracle Appraisal!
Of course, new Enchanted Cards, new Effects, and new Powers will be achievable with the Expansion. An idea I had before was to combine Cards with similar traits(Shadow, Fireballs, etc.) and give them like a Set Bonus when you have enough. Instead, singular Cards you can get do such combination on their own.
New Types of Enemies will be coming to the Expansion! Outside of the usual tankier enemies and stronger attacks, new types of attacks will become more apparent and will need you to be ready to take on what's to come!
Selected for Indie Assemble A quick little intermission, Deep Dark Wrath got selected to join the Indie Assemble Sale happening this early May! Still waiting on more details on the sale but if you've been on the fence on Deep Dark Wrath, that's the time you can get it! Expansion, will there be a Price? Unlike MonHun's Bigger Expansions being a separate release or a separate DLC, this is a Free Update. So you can just download it when it releases and you'll be able to get everything in the Expansion! However, it has been busy. I was hoping to get the update done by the anniversary, 2025 May 27th, but the outside stuff has been pretty hectic. So I'll be pushing the update for June. This should give me more time to let it sit and try it out more, and see if I can polish it as much as I can. This will be the final big update for Deep Dark Wrath, so I do wanna end this with the best I can do.
That's it for now, this has been CraftedCircuitry signing off for now.

v2.9.9 - Fury Flower Major Content Update

Heyyo, CraftedCircuitry again with another update to Deep Dark Wrath! This is a snippet of the v3.0 update(hence the jump from v2.2 to v2.9). So, this will feature some of the mechanics that would be added for v3.0. With this, I may be able to fully complete the v3.0 update in the near future. I also decided to remake the Safe Areas music. Its not the best, but I feel much much better with this compared to the previous Safe Area music so I hope you do give it a listen. Changelog Added

    • Firebrand Task and Furious Tasks
    • The Mysterious Construct and Fusing of Enchanted Cards
    • Frosted Enchanted Cards
    • New Enchanted Cards
    • Spring-themed Sword Skins and 2 New Sword Skin in a different color
    • Armor Trims, and 3 Android-exclusive Armor Trims
    Updated
    • On the Android version, the Touchscreen buttons become more transparent when an Xbox or Playstation controller is used
    • Background Music for the Safe Area remade
    Fixed
    • When loading from a Backup, Buttons on Rebinding do not automatically update
    • Fixed Silent Swings adding more time than the base Wrath Anger timer
    • Fixed Refresh going over Level 5 due to some Cards giving Refresh Points
    • Fixed Spawning of a Caves Area Skeleton
    • Minor Bugfixes
    Furious Tasks
A very recent idea of mine as I was playing Monster Hunter Rise, and discovered its Special License Quests to more easily progress through the story. While on paper, the Oracle Piece rewards the Task gives makes progressing through the game easier, the Furious Tasks are orders of magnitude harder. Furious Collector and Furious Plunderer forces the Wrath to be angered immediately while Furious Explorer forces you to not be in Point Protection. All 3 needing you to do various collecting and conquering to get the coveted Oracle Pieces as rewards.
You might also get something special once youve completed all 3. Who knows? Firebrand Task and The Construct
An augmentation of the idea I had before the Adventurer may be allowed to use The Construct. This task will force you to go through the entire Dungeon finding Wandering Flames in order to open The Construct hidden in the Bewildering Ruins. The Construct will then allow you to open up interesting choices for your build, allowing you to fuse Permanent, Instant, and Veil Cards into 1 powerful Enchanted Card. Frosted Enchanted Cards
(not available in the Safe Area, the GIF is just showcasing what it does) Products of fused Enchanted Cards, these are denoted by frosty icons on the Enchanted Card. They also give out the effect Frost Fortification, which seems to not have any effect on the Adventurer. Maybe the v3.0 Update might shed some light on this effect?
Armor Trims, Sword Skins, and BGM Updates
A new appearance option in the Options, these are placed on top of the Adventurer giving the Adventurer more options in how they look. Of course, Im gonna give a lot of options, and PC users can up their options with the included template to make your own!
    • Leaf Suit (Spring and Autumn versions)
    • Floral and Flower (Spring)
    • Santa Hat (Winter)
    • And more!

As always, coupling this update are new Sword Skins themed around Spring, plus a few more like the Violet Broadsword! As mentioned, the Background Music for the Safe Area was also remade with the update. Its a little bit more than 4 chords looped now xD. Snippets of the Future
I didnt think I had the drive or time to do these updates, but here we are. v3.0 is essentially in sight. Its still a long way to go though. Frosted Enchanted Cards are a bit more balanced for the content packed into v3.0, so I tried to make fusing of Frosted Cards a little bit more tedious (only 5-7 per Run) with this iteration. Im a bit happy with this so far, looking forward to getting more time to do more game development as it has been busier on my end. Thats all for now. Looking forward to what kind of ideas you make for Card builds with the Frosted Cards, and what kind of designs you try with the Armor Trims, Sword Skins, and Plume Color. This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

v2.2.5 - Quick Fix for Steam Deck Cloud Save Compatibility

Heyyo, adventurers! Just a quick change in the Steam Cloud settings to make sure that Steam Deck users can get their Cloud Save! There is no downloads needed with this as far as I know. [EDIT: 2025-03-12] Using Steam Deck's Proton, the files of Deep Dark Wrath are in: .local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2891520/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/CraftedCircuitry The backup files from the Save Journal are saved here: .local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2891520/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Downloads I had no real clue of how Steam Deck/Linux works and had no previous plans on supporting them. I did kinda hope at least the Downloads folder used the actual Linux Downloads folder instead of a compatibility with Proton. Once I release v3.0, I may look into proper Linux + SteamOS support!

    v2.2.5 - Winter 2024 Update

Heyyo, CraftedCircuitry here. Ill be showcasing the Winter 2024 Update to Deep Dark Wrath! Theres a lot of things that I added so lets jump right in!
The Winter and Halloween Updates are featured in this Update banner. Changelog Added

    • 5 More Sword Skins, Winter-themed
    • 3 More Enchanted Cards
    • Cyan Forge, unlocked after 1 Oracle Card, forge cards you may not have with cards of the same type and level
    Updated
    • Card Inventory boosted to 750, from 500
    • Small Optimizations and Bugfixes
    • Better Tutorial, Removed some Tutorials, Lessened and Fixed some Text, and added Force Pauses for important Interactables
    • Points gained and lost when doing certain actions are now shown on top of the Player
    Fixed
    • Damage and Brute Force Inventory Tooltips not showing the v2.0 Changes
    • Changed text pop-up when entering a Gauntlet
    Cyan Forge
Forge Enchanted Cards with the Cyan Forge. You will need to have at least appraised 1 Oracle Card to unlock this feature in the Safe Area. You will then need 3 of the same Type(Permanent, Veil, Instant) and Level of the Card you want to forge. This is kind of a pity system as a lot of the Cards before are behind RNG. This will allow you to make most of the Cards you may need. Other Cards that cannot be forged are still behind actually obtaining them, and are usually guaranteed in some fashion anyway. Winter-themed Cards
The Winter Warmth and Cold Crumble Cards are powerful Veil Cards you can only find in the deepest areas of the Dungeon and only when the Wrath is Angered. They will allow you to tank or pummel your way through enemies respectively. I really wanted to try to make a high-risk, high-reward type of Card with Cold Crumble, and I think I made it. One other new Veil Card is the Enlightened Flames. This will spawn 4 flames around you, that revolve around you and attack enemies! This can only be forged via the Cyan Forge. I always wanted to add some type of Summoner kind of Card in the game, and this lets you become one. Couple this with Flameboyance, and youll be dealing a lot of Fire to the monstrosities in the Dungeon. These seasonal Enchanted Cards wont go away, so you can get it whenever you can. Winter-themed Sword Skins
Ive added 5 more Sword Skins to the game. No Android exclusives on this one so you can use it from anywhere.
    • Frost and Frostbringer(animated) Swords
    • Icicle
    • Christmas Tree and Lit Christmas Tree(animated) Swords
    Small Fixes
Ive also done some small fixes and optimizations to the game. I removed some mechanics that really werent meant to be there and are unused. Ive also boosted Card Inventory, from 500 to 750. This should give you a lot more space for the new Cards Ive added these past few months. The Tutorial was also revamped to be clearer and more concise. The tutorial updates don't change anything if you've already done that particular tutorial bit once. Future? (again)
Thats really about it for Winter 2024. A lot of this new update is really remixing what Deep Dark Wrath already had and adding a little bit more. I will say this wasnt what I planned for Winter. However, I really am not ready to take the deep dive into v3.0 and v4.0 yet, so I wanted to just add small bits of the update instead. Enlightened Flames was actually a v3.0 Card. The Cyan Forge is a derivative of the main mechanic I wanted to add for v3.0, so its nice to get some practice for it and so Ill have a better idea of how to make something similar. Anyway, hope you all have a great Winter 2024, have fun with the game now that it's on a 35% Off Sale, and have fun getting those new Cards! This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

v2.1.0 - Quick Fix: Tumblr Button

Heyyo, sorry for the inconvenience of an immediate update. This was genuinely something I forgot to note down on my to-do list. I added a Button that links to my Tumblr in the Credits section. It doesn't really affect gameplay whatsoever, but I implemented it so there will always be somewhere for you to contact me, the developer. That's really it, no big changes. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. Hoping your enjoy the new Sword Skins I added!

    [ 2024-10-16 05:06:55 CET ] [ Original post ]

    v2.1.0 - Halloween 2024 Update

Heyyo, CraftedCircuitry again for another update to Deep Dark Wrath! v2.1.0 features a small Halloween 2024 Update! Happy Halloween! A Bunch of Sword Skins

This is the main attraction of this update, a bunch of new Sword Skins to try! 1 previously Android-exclusive one and 4 more Sword Skins. Some may even have little secrets tied to them. They are:

    • Pumpkin Sword
    • Stygian Sword, previously Android-only
    • Bone Cleaver
    • Shadow Blade
    • Void Blade (animated)

But I kinda felt a little odd when I removed exclusivity of certain skins from Android, so I decided to make new ones for Android too! These ones, as well as the Beta Sword, will always be exclusive to Android.
    • Glimmering Sword
    • Shining Sword (animated)
Trick or Treat! Id also recommend checking out the final area of the Dungeon. You might find some Halloween treats there or maybe its just a trick? Who knows! If you do find something there, just know that it isnt limited to Halloween and it wont disappear when it's no longer the Halloween season. Small Fixing I added an animation upon entering the gauntlet as just spawning in is a little bit jarring.
Anyway, this ends the small Halloween 2024 Update to Deep Dark Wrath. I really didnt have much in mind for Halloween back when I was brainstorming this game. This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now!

v2.0.6 - Quick Fix for Darkness Cover

    Heyyo Adventurers!
I found a bug that the darkness covering the screen is not working properly. It was always intended for Adventurers to not see a little farther than their circle of vision, especially in the Magma area. So I fixed that and made sure that the darkness always covers what is needed to be covered. [2024-08-29 Update] There was another bug with the fix I did so I made absolutely sure now that the darkness covers what needs to be covered. I am very sorry for the inconvenience of another update.

v2.0.5 - Small Updates and Game Manual

Heyyo! Just a quick update adding some small changes and an in-depth Game Manual.
(More) Numbers Option This new option allows Adventurers to see more specifically their damage onto enemies, as well as the specific health and stamina they're currently at. This is default turned OFF and can be accessed via the Options Plate in the Safe Area. Official Game Manual This comes with any release of Deep Dark Wrath and is updated when there are updates. This provides an in-depth look at some of the inner workings of the game, kinda like Game Manuals of older games. This can be found in the Installed Files of Deep Dark Wrath. That's about it for this quick little update. I hope you're enjoying diving deep into the new depths of Deep Dark Wrath : Depth Challenger! Good luck on your journey, adventurers! • Optimized Enemy Spawning
    • Quick Access no longer an option and always active
    • Run Timer more precise and not pausing during Player taking Damage
    Dried Up Rivers
The big new area of Deep Dark Wrath, hidden behind a wall in the Forest and only accessible via a special Challenger Trinket you need to find in the Dungeon. Its a mid-game/end-game area, featuring some old and some more powerful new enemies as the Wrath corrupts the Rivers near the Forest. Once you acquire the Challenger Trinket, the Wall blocking it in the Somber Forest will go away when you set the Run Option to open the Dried Up Rivers Area before you start a new Dungeon Run.
It has the size of roughly 2 Dungeon Areas. It is big and it has a ton of rewards to plunder. Opening the Dried Up Rivers also blocks you from going further to the Caves and beyond, so you have to choose wisely on what you want to do for that Run. More Enchanted Cards
Theres now more Cards, a lot less in Stat-focused and more on Dungeon effects that really breaks the Dungeon wide open. You wanna go full on Mage? You got Desolate Flames to make your Fireballs even more potent. Need better learning of the Dungeon, something like the Revealing Eye may help you.
    • Shine Sync - One of the first Cards that actually gives Refresh from the start.
    • Revealing Eye - A special Veil Card that boosts the efficacy of your Quick Map, not only showing more Interactables but also destroys walls in the Dungeon to make it easier to navigate.
    • Desolate Flames - A special Veil Card that lets you summon not 1, not 2, but 3 Fireballs in the adjacent directions. You do lose half of their damage though.

And a bunch more! I'd recommend checking out the Enchanted Cards and You book in the Compendium to see the new ones and what they do! Gauntlet Arenas
Hidden in some parts of the Dungeon are small arenas forcing you to fight a set number of Enemies before you can escape. These will give you some nice Point rewards and some of the new Enchanted Cards. This was honestly a little bit of a savior feature. With new ideas, means new Enchanted Cards, and where do I put them? Before Gauntlets, I had absolutely no idea. I was thinking I was gonna spam a few in the same area. The Gauntlets gave me new areas to just put them as nice powerful rewards for toughing it out against countless enemies you need to defeat. The amount of enemies you need is affected by your current amount of Oracle Pieces and the amount you need is mentioned once you enter(and the Wall spawns in to block you in). [2024-09-13 - Just noticed the GIF for Gauntlet Arenas was not the proper one, so I replaced it with the actual Gauntlets GIF] New Sword Skins
A previously Android-only Sword Skin is also available on PC now, the chipped metallic Monochrom Sword. v2.0 also comes with the Philippine flag-inspired Tidebreaker Sword. Let the tides of battle favor you with this colorful sword! Damage Balancing
To help lessen the need for Damage Cards, Ive added a 0.1 boost to your base damage for each Card you applied and if you have 2 Cards applied. Basically, if you have:
    • 1 Card - No Boost
    • 2 Cards - 0.2 Damage Boost
    • 3 Cards - 0.3 Damage Boost
This does also prompt Damage to be nerfed by 0.3 Damage on each level. What does this mean? Any Damage Card as long as you have 3 Cards active is basically the same, you really wont feel the change. But just 3 Cards now allows you to have a boost to your damage. While a small boost and not a big boost for lower health enemies, it does help with higher health threats like Brutes, the new Rivers Area enemies, and the Final Area enemies.
    • For example, Brutes have 10 health, you would need 10 hits before. With the new change, 3 Cards now only needs 8 hits, allowing for more survivability against spots where enemies surround you very easily and lessens the need for Damage Cards for higher health threats.
This still could be balanced further, maybe Ill further nerf Damage but I think its in a good spot for now. As much as I want Enchanted Cards to always be powerful, I also dont want one to be too polarizing that you *always* need it. Smaller Updates
    • The Compendiums Map is now made better and uses the updated Quick Map textures so it's actually precise and doesnt use the old scribbles I made for it back then.
    • For Keyboard users, you no longer have to switch to the Arrow Keys for UI Controls. You now have the UI Helper(Default is LCTRL) that stops movement when holding the input, and allows for UI navigation and UI Quick Access usage.
    • For Controller users, inputs have been made far more robust especially when scrolling through the book entries and Inventory.
    • There are now Control Helper Visuals so youre not lost in the HUDs and Functions of the Safe Area. That and the Instructions also update to whatever button you rebound that action to.
    • Quick Access option is always active and is no longer an option
    • The Stopwatch is now more precise, no longer paused when taking a hit.
    • Optimizations in Enemy Spawning were also done to further reduce load on your device and further reduce lag.
    The Future?
Im gonna quickly talk about my future ideas if I ever get the time and drive to continue this. The games experience is based on Monster Hunter, specifically the endgame experience of Iceborne. So theres a lot of ideas that were derived from playing that franchise. Its not necessarily a Monster Hunter-like game, but more of evoking the grindy feeling of the endgame experience into a lightweight game. That idea includes how I structure big content updates, Main Game, Main Games post-release, Big Expansion, and Big Expansions post-release.
    • v2.0 features this main post-release update, Depth Challenger. Lots of things that build off of the main game. A more challenging area, new enemies, new Enchanted Cards, and the like.
    • v3.0, which is the Big Expansion I had in mind, will be much bigger. Itll have 3 new Areas, a big new mechanic that alters and strengthens your existing Enchanted Cards, a continuation of the lore, and in turn, a new ending. I dont plan to make this a Paid DLC expansion.
    • v4.0 simply builds off of the Big Expansion, adds a new encounter and an ending that alters the Big Expansions ending.
v3.0 and v4.0 are still on paper, and I have no idea if Ill ever get to it. But it's nice to have some future plans if I ever have the drive to fully complete the ideas outside of the base game. The main idea is already complete, and for now at least, Im very, very happy with it so far. Thats About It
    Thats about it for Deep Dark Wrath. This mid/endgame addition is something I wanted to add to give the end a little more substance other than go for more Oracle Pieces and Points. The gauntlets also give a little bit more challenge. Im honestly happy to leave this now if life comes in the way, but I may come back for the 2 Big Content ideas I have eventually. If you'd like a hint on where the item to unlock Dried Up Rivers is hidden, I'd suggest taking a look at the Ruins area. Its been fun and again, I hope I can do this again in the near future.     v1.2.4 - Dungeon Run Timer and Small Updates;

v1.2.4 brings a quick update adding a Dungeon Run Timer to the game. This timer runs any time, even when hidden. This is so you can just focus on your Dungeon Run, but if you're curious, you can still see how much time you took by making it appear. It still pauses when you pause and when the Adventurer gets hit(for a split second). I've also updated the Read Me a little bit, adding a few more needed information.
That's it for today! If you haven't seen, Deep Dark Wrath is on a 25% Off Summer Sale Discount if you're interested in buying it. This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

v1.2.3 - Flaming Sword Skins and More Information about the Dungeon

This is a quick Summer Update to add some more information, balance some things, and make the Summer Sword Skins, Flame Burst and Flame Burden, available for you to use! Flame Burst and Flame Burden
Go through the Dungeon with some burning hot Flame Sword Skins you can use right out of the game! Introducing the Flame Burden(an animated Sword Skin) and Flame Burst, Cyan Swords forged with the Blue Flames, these cool Sword Skins should guide you further as you venture deeper into the Wraths Dungeon! Sword Skins do not offer any advantage in the game other than looking cool. More Information about the Dungeon A small addition that prompted v1.2.2, I also added More Information about the Dungeon and More Information about your Adventurer(your regular HP, etc.) to push the subtle lore of the game a little more and to let players know how much do they actually have. A bar with no numbers is a little lacking. While the story is definitely not the focus of the game, it's these little details that help shape the world of Deep Dark Wrath. Small Balancing Changes Another small addition that prompted v1.2.3, I decided to add another Elixir of Rejuvenation(basically refills your Regen Power Uses) in the Dungeon. Its in the Caves if you can find it. This may very well throw off the balance I had for this game, but I think its a nice addition to have for newer players to more easily grasp the Dungeon. Anyways, hoping you enjoy this Summer with these Flaming Hot Swords for Deep Dark Wrath! Thanks for reading, this has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.
