You jolt awake as the bus hits a particularly nasty bump. You feel like you’d only just managed to start drifting off, and now here you are, awake again and still exhausted.
For a moment, you’re hazy on the details of where exactly 'here' is, confusing this bus with the many others that came before it. But as your mind continues to reassert its existence in the waking world, the past few days come back into focus. The long-lost cousin, the bad news, the twenty-six hours of bus rides with countless late-night stops in seedy depots that felt unsafe even in the middle of the day. You wouldn’t normally find yourself traveling like this, but your cousin bought the tickets. The funeral of her mother, your aunt, seemed like something you shouldn't ignore, even considering your own late mother’s rocky relationship with this side of the family.
Fortunately, the end of your long journey is in sight. You're almost in Scarlet Hollow.

Wishlist Scarlet Hollow's New Steam Page!

Just popping in to give y'all a quick update on our release strategy for the rest of Scarlet Hollow, and to ask for a teensy li'l favor that would mean the world to us (Wishlist our new Steam page! ) And dont worry none of this will affect what youre getting and when youre getting it.

We were originally planning to release Scarlet Hollows episodes as paid DLC for our free-to-play page on Steam. However, now that weve gotten a better handle on how to market video games, we realize making the full game DLC on a free page wouldnt give us the all-too-valuable visibility Steam titles are able to get from special sales and discounts.
So we made a shiny new page for Steam Early Access , where well be releasing our future episodes over time (the game will automatically update as new episodes are released). If you've already backed the game, instead of getting a Steam key for the season pass, youll be getting your key for this new page instead! For those of you who have held onto your Episode 1 saves, never fear-- they should be automatically imported for you.

Because this is a new page, its going to start out without any Wishlists , and because Steam shows content algorithmically, getting more Wishlists means that more people will be able to discover our game!

So if you're able, please take a second to pop over to this new page and add it to your Wishlist (even though youre going to get a key from us anyways.) At 1,000 Wishlists, were going to start sharing previews of that absolutely INCREDIBLE soundtrack Brandons been putting together for Episode 2.

At 2,500 Wishlists, were going to do a livestream (after Episode 2 comes out) where you can ask for a monster and well draw it for you. LIVE.

At a whopping 5,000, we'll make a vinyl sticker of Tabithas Normal Smile.

If Wishlists really start taking off, at 7,500 well make an enamel Dustin pin!

If things go really gangbusters, at 10,000 well making sure that every episode of Scarlet Hollow has at least one animated cutscene. (Spoiler alert, Episode 2 is already going to have an animated cutscene, and it's looking lovely (and eerie, of course).)

And if things go really really gangbusters, at 20,000, well do an entirely new Kickstarter to make a plush of everyones favorite Drawer Opossum.

Before we go, we also wanted to provide a quick update on Episode 2. The first half is done and fully playable (which means that way way more than half the work is done!) Were still going to do our best to hit our end of May deadline, but weve also lost some time over the past couple of months to Life Stuff, vaccine side effects in particular, so depending on how the next month goes, we might need to push the release date back a week or two just to make sure that everything is as good as it can be before we release it-- more like early June than late May. So sorry about the delay!

Were incredibly proud of how Episode 2 is turning out, though, and we cant wait to share it with yall.
