For the Steam Games Festival (June 16th-22nd), we are featuring a short playable demo of Bots & Belts. The demo consists of three levels that will introduce controls and the core gameplay. These levels can be played multiplayer, local co-op, or solo! The full version of the game will be releasing late this year. It features 27 unique levels, a storyline, a boss, an original soundtrack, as well as unlockable robots and color palettes for your robots. The idea for Bots & Belts came about several years ago. It originally began as a 2D game with pixelated characters. We decided that we wanted a multiplayer experience and 3D would lend itself better to the fast-paced gameplay. Many of the original ideas were scrapped but several remain to this day (including the main character!). Check out this screen capture of the original concept:
