Greetings, challengers! Here's some of the features we've been working on in the last couple of months

New Weapons



Whip it good!



Whips can reach behind, above, or in front of you. It's all in the timing and your wrist!

Steel hatchet


With a special spinning ability:

New Enemy: Skeletal defender


Not all skeletal warriors are fragile. These guards are heavily clad, immune to most frontal attacks and stunning from jumping off their heads, thus requiring a bit more careful positioning to hit effectively.

Trading Cards


Six new trading cards and five badges are now available! If you've purchased the game directly through Steam, free cards should start dropping for each hour of gameplay (up to 3).

Emojis and character backgrounds


Weve also added a collection of new emojis and three themed profile backgrounds.

Quality of life improvements


New Spell modifier: Recharge


It allows you to freely refill the last spell charge used after a short cooldown and can be applied at upgrade anvils (Note: It does not apply to time manipulation or life drain abilities). Thus providing an additional way to replenish spells next to exploring for mana stars.

Tackle rework:


Increased damage and stunning aspect of grabbing and throwing opponents at each other. We've also added a new rune that allows you to pick up and throw opponents almost anywhere.
Tip: You can grab and throw most opponents while they're stunned or unaware of you. This works without any perks equipped.

Hard Mode Refinements:


  • Most bosses now have faster, more aggressive patterns. Note: For one specific boss, you may need to have completed the first area before the new updated patterns appear.
  • All bosses have increased hp, with late-game bosses more resistant to ranged attacks.
  • Further increased the durability of some enemies on hard mode. Special thanks to content creators like Etsy8Nine (The Game Doctor), Mujikalou and Dracolair for their hard mode feedback.

More Changes:


  • Reworked Tutorial: We've reworked it to be more intuitive and forgiving based on player feedback.
  • Localization improvements to all languages. Credit to Neon Noroshi for further refinements to eastern language translations.
  • Extended dialog and interactions for Silex the Scavenger - dialog credit to T-Dog Extreme.
  • Refinements to multiple existing sprites - special thanks to Rex Smeal
  • Reworked the Blood Thirsty character background perk, HP restoration from bosses has been toned down, and fewer orbs can be drawn at once. Tip: You can unlock character background perks by rescuing someone from the Catacombs..
  • Multiple UI enhancements, especially related to prompts.
  • Considerable optimization work for better performance on older devices.
  • Hammer animation has been reworked, and the weapon is easier to wield.

Aura of worlds is a creative tactics rogue-lite platformer. Explore multiple worlds where you must utilise your creative abilities to twist adversity to your advantage. You'll need planning, wits and reflexes to make a way through these ever-changing death labyrinths.

Escape flooding passages, outrun toxic pollen, face off against gargantuan bosses that have made entire mazes their home. Do you play defensively with the spear and energy shield, or swing into the fray with a boomerang and grapple hook? Do you scour the levels for potions and runes; or do you dive headfirst into the chaos?

"What Gamepads are compatible?”
Currently Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers though other Xinput controllers may work.
NOTE: Not natively compatible with Playstation controllers yet.

Keyboard and mouse works just as well.

Is there much of a story in game?
There's minimal story exposition as of the current build.
We do plan on integrating a loose narrative as development progresses though...

  • Default gamepad controls are slightly different from convention, due to optional 360 degree aiming with right analogue stick. Though buttons can be rebound to suit.
  • It’s designed to be challenging, and death may be encountered frequently during your initial runs. Though there is no stunlocking/one-hit demises.
  • Being able to multi-task between abilities will greatly increase survivability.
  • **The game has a steeper learning curve than the average platformer, particularly in the first 25 minutes

  • 9+ randomized level themes. Such include tidal corridors filled with mines, rising lava, caverns lined with toxic and carnivorous plants...
  • 3+ Primary world types (grotto, gardens, temple, ...) each with their own traps, enemies, boss and special theme layouts.
  • A plethora of creative abilities ranging from parkour to cloaking to warping time itself!
  • Every object has multiple uses E.g. you can grab that lantern from the ceiling, and carry it around to use as a portable light source or improvised flaming molotov...
  • Hand crafted pixel art and animations by Jessica Turner and Lachlan Cartland
  • Regular updates
  • A unique musical score.
