It is the year 2077. Earth is slowly dying and starving for energy, and humanity has turned to the solar system to meet its ever-growing needs. The Moon has been plundered; the Chinese have begun to colonise Mars, and now the world has set its eyes on hydrocarbon-rich Titan, Saturn's sixth moon. Your employers, the International Autonomous Space Association, are desperate to claim it before the Chinese can. On frosty Titan, this war will be very cold indeed.
Key Features
- A hard science fiction setting inspired by Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Stanislaw Lem.
- An open-ended structure in which your choices define not only the course of the plot, but the fate of the world.
- A rich character-creation system, in which you define your character's attributes and develop his or her skills and gear over the course of the game.
- A robust base-building system, in which you must manage your crew, resources, and facilities to survive the harsh environment and your political rivals.
- Multiple approaches to the game's challenges: dialogue; crafting; exploration; trade; and violence are all viable ways to win.
- A rich and reactive story full of mysteries, twists, and memorable characters.
1.375 Update
Hey all!
This update fixes all known issues that came up in 2024. Very few bugs, fortunately. Also backported some QoL features from The Jovian System. Loading times were vastly improved. The Outpost vicinity now loads five times faster, for example.
Changelog
Improvements
- Improved loading times. Loading the Outpost exterior for the first time went from 13-15 seconds to 3 seconds.
- Timelapse calculations a little faster
- IPMS warns the player if you leave for Feia Lacus without a pump deployed or a drone assigned. You can ignore this and it won't prompt again. This helps new players who skip the tutorial but can't figure out what to do.
- Added an area in Shangri La where you can leave the rover right where you start. The 'slow rover' bug has finally been reproduced and fixed, but before that I put an area right near the start where you can leave the rover. There's a crate there and nothing else, it's more like a staging area for when the player first arrives.
Fixes
- Search icon occasionally not showing up fixed.
- During a timelapse the date system no longer reverts to dd/mm/yy
Misc
- Lake Neagh reference in Neagh Lacus description is now Lough Neagh
- Added a few more perk/trait based dialogue lines here and there.
