ANOTHER UPDATE AFTER QUITE A WHILE to fix some things and hooopefully not break the game!! The log isn't too big, so I'll keep it brief! - Various softlocks have been fixed - Certain small animation errors have been fixed - Collected palettes no longer bounce - Performance has been significantly improved - The overall file size of the game has been significantly reduced It's not a very glamorous update, but the game should run a lot better on low-end machines and takes up less than half the space! Wow! There have been a lot of changes under the hood to update to Gamemaker 2.3 and keep everything in working order! We think we've squashed all the bugs that caused, but please don't hesitate to report any bugs! Post about your bugs here in the comments/forums, or email us at info@nevermore.studio! You can also email us about anything else, though! <3 Thanks for playing! We've got lots more in store!
Hey there!! It's been a whiiiile since the last update, but we've finally come around to clean things up! Additions: - A long-requested feature of the palette swapping system has been implemented. Look forward to Rabbit Girl always wearing the fashionable palette of your choice, no matter what she may go through! - It's now much easier to keep track of which palettes have been collected on your global save file. The map screen will display a counter of palettes collected in the area you're in, even for areas which have no map. There has also been a full-game tracker added to the file select menu, breaking up the counts by area. Take a look at it once you've found all the palettes, and you might see something strange... - A brand new music track by our composer, Cory, has been added to the final area of the game. It's an absolute hit, and we hope you'll enjoy! Enhancements: - The game can now be played in 16:9 windowed mode, so windowed players can also enjoy the borders - Rooms which have not been explored are now significantly more noticeable on the map - You can now press up and down to cycle through the palette selector more quickly - Menu confirm and cancel now match the keybinds for jump and call, respectively. If jump and call are set to the same key, confirm and cancel revert to their defaults - Carrots now get saved and loaded with your file (though it's slightly more difficult to carry them between areas, now!) Fixes: - Pride palettes no longer get removed temporarily when global save data is deleted - Updates certain credits entries to better reflect individuals' names - Palette icon and count no longer overlap File 3 while copying or erasing a save file - Fixes game crash when attempting to copy a save file onto itself Ingame Fixes: -
Adjusts collision along the bottom of Cave to make for fewer blind falls when transitioning between rooms
-
Adjusts collision in one room of the dark side of Cave to make a flying enemy more predictable
-
Fixes a sound issue in which music would immediately fade out when loading a save file in Night Plateau
-
Fixes a softlock in Night Plateau caused by becoming a bunny while under the effects of a yellow flower
-
Fixes a softlock in Night Plateau caused by an accidental glitched climb
The new song will be on the bandcamp page soon! Please enjoy, and let us know it works please!
Hello! Been a while, our bad--here's some changes, though! Some of these have already been rolled out, some are brand new! - File Copying finally real. - Bunnies that Fall Offscreen in a Few Rooms In The Cave will now float back up to safety-- will likely add these triggers to more levels later. - Some rooms edited for a smoother gameplay experience. - Various tweaks to movement for more consistent gameplay - Can once again assign multiple call shortcuts to the same keybind - Dpad no longer moves the player when call shortcuts are enabled - Some small bug fixes throughout the game - A Palette List preview has been added to help find the palette you're looking for. - Small Graphical Tweak--improved the look of the house at the beginning of the game. Enjoy! More to come! Please report bugs to us, we check every discussion on the forum and read all our comments!
Happy pride month! Now that more people own this game due to its inclusion in the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality (does NOT come with steam keys!), it's prime time to start updating this game. Here are some small fixes; More substantive changes will come!
Another version of the game has been released, and with it, a number of small changes and fixes! The game shouldn't be too noticeably different, but there are a couple of improvements worth nothing: -There are now cables visually showing you what most puzzle elements connect to! These are designed to be unobtrusive, but can be turned off if you want anyways. -There are now stars on the main menu pertaining to four milestones in the game: --Beating the Game --Beating the Game with All Rabbits --Beating the Game with MINIMUM Rabbits --Collecting Every Palette Unfortunately, these stars are not retroactive; But if you have a save near the end of the game, you can trigger either of the first two stars! Sorry about that, either way. There's one more secret to find, too, for those of you who are total completionists... ... Stay tuned for further updates--there may even be brand new content to explore, some day...! ;)
You asked, he delivered...! The music from Cory Welch Music has been wrapped up in a beautiful bandcamp-styled bow just in time for Christmas. If you like the music, treat yourself; And treat him for his hard work!

Hotfixing, hotfixing, oh jeez, oh no! This isn't a big update, because it was rushed out the door to fix a nasty softlock, but to get into the habit of it... ----UPDATE NOTES---- --Bug Fixes-- -Fixed a pretty devastating checkpoint location in the final stretch of the game forcing a softlock, requiring a save reload... my bad! --Level Design-- -Moved something around to make how to proceed more initially obvious; Might need to make a sign making it explicit later, depending. ------------ ...And that's all she wrote! Hopefully the softlock didn't ruin your experience. Be sure to report any bugs so we can squash them ASAP! -Polar, Nevermore Team
It's been a hard few months, but my first game--and our first game, for the Nevermore crew--is finally done. We hope you'll enjoy it, and look forward to the inevitable hotfixing that follows. Maybe even updates! Who knows. We hope you'll enjoy saving them anyways--one bunny at a time. @StudioNevermore
