Items range from equippable swords and armors to drinkable potions and artifacts that can summon, teleport or annihilate your enemies. Trinkets can be wield to increase your stats and everything can be thrown around to trigger their effects or just crush your opponents underneath their weight.
KEY FEATURES
- All items can be used by and against the player. Enemies have access to the same abilities as you do
- Character development revolves around the items that can be obtained. There are no classic stats or XP grinding
- Turn-based combat in a very roguelike fashion
- Portals that will lead you outside the tower for a quick item hunting session: Cities, Harbors, Dungeons and Arenas can be explored
Make the game your own
The source code for the game is available under the MIT license. Feel free to use it to create your own adventure. And since the code is easily accessible you can mod it, add items, enemies and levels to your hearts content.Ebony Spire released on November 2nd 2017 and it's already getting it's first MAJOR update just a few weeks later. The highlights of this update are procedurally generated levels!
If you enjoyed the classic levels get ready for a chance to replay them in a big way: Procedurally generated levels offer you a whole new experience and so many more new situations to find yourself in! You'll never know what's behind the next door! And don't worry, you can always the original levels (classic mode) via the options menu! And disable perma-death and the scanline overlay!

- Added Line of Sight algorithm to the AI instead of regular distance check formula. Running and hiding from an enemy is a viabile strategy now
- Added Ring(s) of Marksmanship +1 and +3 (bonus to GunKnowledge)

- Overhauled stat presentation with modifiers for Affinities and Knowledge
- Improved the user interface experience and navigation
- More spellbooks and items
- Improved map view to account for player orientation
