Version 1.2.3 is a maintenance release which contains a single bug fix. This update fixes a bug where applying the 18+ patch after starting the game and auto-saving (ie. playing the game, not just opening it) would cause the patch to not be recognized.

Hotfix for an issue some Steam Decks have with Renpy games which would cause the game to randomly freeze up for a minute

• updated game engine from Renpy 7.3.2 to 7.4.11
• removed dead link from credits page
• fix for italics in German translation
• re-coded all sprites to take advantage of updated game engine. This removes around 300 unnecessary image references
• improved font rendering for bold text in Chinese, and italic/bold text in other languages

• the game is now in separate depots for Mac, Windows 32 bit, Windows 64 bit, Linux 32 bit, and Linux 64 bit. This shaves around 50MB off the install size.
• implemented cloud saves

Tomboys Need Love Too now has language support for Simplified Chinese. *Please note that this is a big update (relative to the size of the game) and may cause old saves to no longer load at the exact point where you previously saved. eg. The saved game may instead load at the last choice you made, or the start of that day in the game. If you have problems with existing saves after updating, you can opt in to the TNLT beta called "old-stable", which is the version of this game prior to Chinese language support being added. Or you can skip through the text you've already seen by pressing either Ctrl or Tab.

If you've opted in to view adult content on Steam through your account settings, you'll now see a new DLC for Tomboys Need Love Too: the 18+ content patch. This will download automatically, and provide you with the same experience you would have gotten when downloading and applying the patch manually. There are some elements of romance, and the occasional depiction of violence, but overall it is a light-hearted game about befriending demi-humans and helping them to resolve the issues they face while attending Amadronia Magic Academy. The full game is 350k words (roughly 5x as long as Tomboys Need Love Too), contains 13 endings, ~50 choices, and much more.

A new build of Tomboys Need Love Too has just been released with the following improvements: -Improved keyboard/controller support. TNLT already supported gameplay without a mouse for the most part, but there were a couple of screens (mostly the preferences screen) which didn't play well with controllers. With this update, TNLT should be just as easy to play with a controller as it is with a keyboard and mouse. -Improved performance. The underlying engine TNLT runs on (Renpy) recently received an update focused on improving performance. While most VNs have very low system requirements, TNLT is natively 1440p, so there may be slight delays on older or low-power hardware. This update should improve performance somewhat for those players. Please note that this update will be fairly large (relative to the total game size, that is), and doesn't include any new game content; this update is purely about technical improvements. So if you don't have any problems with in-game navigation or performance, you might want to just skip this update.
