Update 2.0 - Rides, sounds and confetti

Hey, today we're releasing the version 2.0 update. It contains the following improvements and extensions:

Two new rides:


The Update includes not only one, but two new rides. And as a thank you to our loyal community, one ride is completely free.

'The Giant Mill'


This huge ride is available for everyone for free:

'The Astronaut'


The second new ride brings you and your visitors an outer space experience. Get it as DLC and customize it with our new effect devices:

New effect devices


We created and implemented 3 new effect devices that enhance the fun and the visual possibilities even further:[olist]
  • The Co2 Jet
  • The Confetti Shooter
  • The Skybeam [/olist]

    Overworked sound implementation


    We reworked the engine sounds and implemented more sound variations including wind noises and creaking noises. Furthermore we're giving the player the opportunity to control the volume ratios for the rides, the jingles and the ambient sounds.

    Engine upgrade


    We upgraded the whole game engine. This will increase the performance for some users, but much more importantly, it gives us the possibility to work on - and improve - Virtual Rides 3 even more in the future. So the engine upgrade provides the basis for further long term improvements.

    Other changes


    • Fixed: Krake cross engines would rotate strangely without being on
    • Fixed: Krake break not working properly
    • Fixed: Big Spin restraints not colorable
    • Fixed: Break sound on Handstand ride very loud
    • Fixed: Cashier disappearing on Chopper ride
    • Fixed: Crashing game with speed up and running
    • Fixed: Small loading overlay sometimes doesn't stop
    • Fixed: Moving head program resets when leaving ride
    • Fixed: Running lights could stop working when having on-during-strobe enabled
    • Fixed: Trees wouldn't move
    • Many more little bug fixes and optimizations

    • Use lighting, effect equipment, fog machines, and stroboscopes to perfectly stage your fairground attractions! Give your visitors a ride they'll never forget!

    • When night falls, the lighting system immerses the funfair in a very special light! From laser shows to color changes – everything is possible!



    • You are the carnival barker! Grab a microphone and fire up your guests with your own calls!

    • The atmospheric lighting doesn't really come into effect until sunset – but that's no problem! Simply change the time and even the weather!

    • Take your place in the control booth and use the 3D panel to control the ride just as you like!



    • There are more than 10 attractions available! Start them up and give your guests the ride of their lives!
