Using smaller radial deadzones (figure 1) instead of square ones (figure 2) allows for a wider range of input and more control.
Figure 3: Aim acceleration
Changing to a linear aim acceleration (figure 3) with an outer zone which has twice the sensitivity allows for the highest precision in addition to fast turning. This is called Dual-Zone and is also the default in Overwatch.
It will take some time to get used to but should increase the speedrun potential when using gamepads. Please let me know what you think as I am especially interested in getting feedback about this specific change.
