Today, we're excited to bring innovation and modern technology to the world of virtual trucking. As you may remember, last year, KRONE Trailers invited us to be a part of their trailer technology revolution, giving us an insight into their work with Trailer Dynamics, and today we are excited to fulfill our promise by implementing it into the KRONE Trailer Pack for Euro Truck Simulator 2 .
Introducing the KRONE eTrailer! This collaboration between Krone Trailers and Trailer Dynamics has resulted in special electrified trailers that reduce the diesel consumption and CO2 emissions of a semitrailer tractor by 20 to 40 percent.
The core of this is a powerful electric drivetrain, which supports the drive of the semitrailer and tractor while also recovering braking energy through recuperation. The eAxis delivers 360 kW continuously and up to 580 kW at peak.
For now, the KRONE eTrailer will only be available on the Freight Market, for shorter jobs under 350km and when hauling certain cargoes only. Players who find these job contracts will have the choice of two of these revolutionary Krone eTrailers, the eDry Liner and the eCool Liner. We look forward to having you experience how big of an improvement this provides for your fuel economy, as well as how powerful these trailers are!
