Today, we're happy to share with you some new images and information from our Germany rework project for Euro Truck Simulator 2; specifically from the city of Erfurt. Much like the previously highlighted areas in this rework, this city was completely rebuilt from scratch! Let's take a closer look shall we?
Located in the heart of Germany, Erfurt is a city with a rich history. To ensure the preservation of the historic city, a majority of the roads in the centre are not accessible for larger LKW vehicles. Because of this, our team has been focusing on creating the northern area of Erfurt.
This area consists mainly of residential buildings and industries, where drivers frequent warehouses and logistic centres to make daily deliveries and pick ups. Part of this rework will also include a nearby rural area, where you'll find other industries such as a farm and a concrete plant.
The city's road network has also been remade to bring a more realistic road layout, which includes a new junction too.
