Howdy, folks!
Life in Cattle Country is all about living off the of the land. Whether you're tending to your farm, exploring the wilds or just kickin' back and watching nature around you, there's something for everyone!
Today we're taking a closer look at two frontier activities that'll help you thrive in Hill Valley; Hunting and fishing!
Combat? Optional!
First things first, player choice is important, so you've got options to choose just how cozy you want Cattle Country to feel!
While the game does feature guns, their use is entirely up to you! Weve given players the option to toggle enemies in both the overworld and the mines. This means that if youre not looking for trouble, you can farm and explore without worrying about the risk of getting caught up in any hostile situations.
But if you are in the mood for some action, just flip the switch and keep an eye out for bandits on your afternoon strolls. Itll keep things interesting!
Huntin'
Now, lets talk hunting. In Cattle Country, you dont have to take up arms if you dont want to. But if you decide to "live off the fat of the land" and hunt, dont expect anything too brutal. Weve designed hunting to fall under what we like to call "cozy combat" so no blood, no gore. Every critter or enemy you take down simply disappears in a little puff of smoke!

When it comes to weapons, if youre after small, quick critters, good luck using a gun! A bow and steady aim are your best friend here. Quiet, methodical movements are key, and thats what makes hunting in Cattle Country such a rewarding experience!
Shootin' Contests
Now, what would a true cowboy experience be without a little friendly competition? Weve got several shooting mini-games where you can test your aim and prove youve got what it takes to be the fastest finger in town. And don't worry, these contests are 100% non-lethal! The townsfolk are safe for now!
Fishin'
For those of you who like to take it easy, there are fishing spots scattered all over the map. Catching fish ain't a quick endeavour, but thats part of the beauty of it. Youll need time, patience, and a good sense of tranquillity to reel in those big ones. Plus, it's the perfect way to soak in the atmosphere of Hill Valley, whether you're enjoying the sunset or just taking a load off.

Weve had a few folks reach out with questions about how these activities fit into the game, and we hope this clears things up! Whether youre hunting, fishing, or just exploring, we can't wait for you to experience everything Cattle Country has to offer.
See you out there, Partner!
