Hello everyone! From June 26th to July 10th, Rain and Respite and the Artbook DLC are on sale for 40% off as a part of the 2025 Steam Summer Sale! Consider picking up a copy if you haven't already, and if you've already gotten the game, consider buying it as a gift for a friend! Or a family member! Or dog! Or mortal blood enemy that you want to lull into a false sense of security with a cutesy game before you backstab them in some strangely contrived fashion!
As always, thank you all for the overwhelming support for this little VN, it's been over half a year since it first released, and it means the world to me that so many people enjoyed the characters and the story.
I hope you all enjoy your summer, and make sure not to drink too much!
Few more updates to add to the previous patch note (also focused on Steam Deck): - Hover and selection text color has changed for better readability and better cohesion - Various text sizes in menus have been increased to also help with readability
Happy Holidays all, just a super small update (like always): - Steam Deck version of Rain and Respite no longer has a weird spacing issue with the quick menu
Incredibly small update, just corrected two minor typos that I didn't catch before launch. Sorry about that!
Hey all, just a small patch to fix and polish some stuff: - The Ren'Py engine has been updated to the most stable version (8.3.3) - Music has been edited slightly so the intros and outros are shorter and makes looping more cohesive - Fixed a slight quirk where in one dialogue conversation, Granite was listed as the speaker instead of Guard It's also worth noting that the game should have proper Steam Cloud Save support on all platforms! Just in case you wanted to compliment giant hats or make elves cry at home or on the go. As a final sendoff I just wanted to thank everyone for the wild amount of support for the release of this project, and reading all the reviews and feedback has been incredibly humbling. Thank you all so much!! ThunderSalt
In this visual novel, you play as a city guard who gets the night off of work due to some stormy weather. With some free time on your hands, you decide the best course of action is to head to a local tavern you've never been to before. Talk to some interesting characters, eat some unknown meat, make an elf cry, and try not to be hung out to dry before the night is over.
• Multiple dialogue options and routes based on your choices
• Four unique endings and epilogues
• Multiple locations that change over time
• Girls that you might find cute (or not, I'm not going to judge you)
