Korter 1996 is an exploration of loneliness in a point and click adventure game. You can organise and decorate your new apartment and go on expeditions to other people's homes to find more items. While exploring different apartments on the block, you get to solve puzzles that will lead you to more information on each of the inhabitants. How you interact with the items in their apartments will move forward their story and through item dialogues you get to know about their lives.

Korter team is sending off the year with our last 2025 update!

Hope all of you are safe and well! For us this year has been very much focused on Korter 1996, with the release in June and polishing the rough edges with updates over the following months. Right now, we are very tired but happy, ready to wrap up and put a bow on the Korter year.

In February, we updated our demo with lots of UI polish, our first step towards release

[/*]In September, we were nominated for the Wings award at BLON festival in Lithuania
[/*]Then, in October, we won the Estonian Game of the Year 2025 award from Mngude in Estonia!
[/*]Mari-Anna was live on the Estonian morning TV show, Terevisioon, to talk about our game alongside the host of Mngude
[/*]The very next week, we showcased our game at TipiLAN in Tallinn, and ran a decorating competition
[/*]November and December were pretty quiet by comparison, except for a surprise New Years Eve Update!!! (This one, the post youre reading!)

Next year were excited to celebrate 30 years from when the Korter 1996 storyline took place! I hope youll stick with us and check out the little update we have in mind for then. For now, its time to move forward and dream of new creative projects for 2026
