Hello UMAMI fans! We are excited to announce some new updates for our cozy tasty puzzle game that we hope will make the demo even more fun and enjoyable!! Thank you so much for your feedback and your messages! They're super helpful in making UMAMI even better, and we really appreciate that you took the time to share it with us

Control improvements

We have added the two most requested features! The ability to rotate AND zoom in/out the camera while you are holding a puzzle piece! Without it, you had to pick up and let go of the piece to either zoom in, out, or turn the puzzle around, so it required a lot more clicking. Hopefully, this makes things a little easier and more comfortable!

• You can now rotate the puzzle while holding a piece by using LMB + RMB. It allows you to easily get a look at every side of each puzzle while holding a piece.
  
• The camera can now also zoom while holding pieces by using LMB + RMB + Mouse Wheel. You can get up close or further to the puzzle while holding a piece, making it easier to evaluate their placement with precision.
  
• The camera no longer zooms with LMB + Mouse Wheel.

New Tutorial

Weve also revamped the onboarding with a detailed tutorial to help with that first moment of where do I begin?. This includes short GIFs to visually explain the core interactions: how to control the camera, the pieces, where and how to place them. Heres a peek at the new tutorial:

Bug Fixing

Weve also tackled a frustrating bug to keep your puzzles flowing smoothly:

• Fixed an issue where pieces could get stuck inside the puzzle due to unintentional detachment from magnets, forcing a restart of the puzzle. Now, your pieces stay securely in place!

In this little slice of the game, youll get a taste of the atmosphere and gentle puzzle-solving that UMAMI offers! UMAMI is a 3D food-themed puzzle game where every level is a hand-crafted sensory experience, built to satisfy the eye, the ear, and that quiet part of your brain that craves harmony and food. In UMAMI, youll solve small, food-themed dioramas, each with its own combination of playful logic, hidden secrets, cute animals, and beautifully stylized ingredients. Every piece and object is hand-painted, every click and movement carefully tuned to create a satisfying, soothing experience. The puzzles are gentle, but clever. The music is warm and calm. The result? A game that doesnt just feel cozy; it feels *good* to play.
