Grim news in the Eborean Empire - nobles, or people who can use Magia in other words, are vanishing without a trace! There are reports from neighboring kingdoms and republics that similar incidents are occurring in those regions as well. And all of this comes just after the widespread adoption of gunpowder weapons and steam engines. That could only mean one thing - Uprising.
After being directly threatened by the Uprising, your task is to assemble a group of skilled companions to unravel this mystery and stop your hunters from capturing you. Who knows what would they do, but most likely, something sinister.

Fight the enemies in a grid based strategy turn based battles in a way you want:
- Create your own character from different fantasy races and backgrounds, be it Noble or Commoner.
- Use different weapons for different needs - from two-handed mauls to throwable poison bottles.
- If weapons are not enough, various class skills will help you get an edge.
- Gather experience and level up you and your companions to make them stronger and to unlock new classes to upgrade to.

Plan your next moves and prepare for upcoming battles in your own airship:
- Upgrade airship for various boons in battle
- Equip and purchase new weapons and upgrade your party members classes
- Upgrade weapons that you currently have in exchange for some scrap found in battles
- Run around in circles if you want, airship acts as a hub so your character can move freely

it's dangerous to go alone, so there will be companions to help you:
- Equip and upgrade each one as needed
- Fighting near them will increase their devotion towards you
- High devotion will give small buffs for you and companion
- Special optional mission for each companion with unique reward
- And tea drinking of course

Greetings, tacticians! Another small update to make your playthroughs smoother:

Also, a reminder to leave a steam review. Still need some to reach 10 of those!
Cheers!

Greetings, adventurers! I hope your travels are going well. Here's a small update with some graphical adjustments and quality-of-life improvements:
- As requested on the discussion boards, I've added an option for free camera movement! The camera no longer follows the active/selected character and can now be moved freely, even during enemy turns. You'll find this setting in the options menu.
- Adjusted contrast slightly - colors should now appear more vivid.
- Fixed an issue where the objective window wouldn't disappear on very wide screens.
- Fixed visual issues in the airship.
- Fixed a few typos.

Have a great adventure, and please leave a review if you have a moment!
Cheers!

Stay strong,
Greetings,
Work on a Spellpowder: Uprising is coming to an end, so it's high time to set a release date. And that is year 2025. I know, I know it's somewhat vague, but since the game was started in 2020 even knowing years is great.
So what can you expect is this time?
- Streaming - not sure Youtube or Twitch, but will be streaming more often, to show the game
- Kickstarter? - might create a campaign to see how it works and goes, not 100% sure yet
- Voice Acting audition - more info will be on Discord server some time later
- Next Fest in 2025 with updated demo and new trailer
Greetings Tacticians!
Steam Strategy Fest is in few days and what is a better way to celebrate it than with a new demo, eh? So starting from August 28th new demo will be available in Spellpowder steam page in which you will be able to create your own character and test how it would fare against challenges in first four chapters.
If you will be streaming or recording your playthrough, please share your experience in Spellpowder's Discord channel
Hope to see you there!
