Since the release of the demo last week I've gotten some feedback about some stuff that is hopefully addressed in this change, there is no significant game stage content modification, these are purely QOL changes that while sort of small, hopefully help a lot. I'm still figuring lots of things out so, bear with me! These changes will invalidate replays made before this week.
SOLSTORM is a classic style hand-crafted arcade bullet hell. Step in the shoes of a space-child that must embark on a bullet-ridden space odyssey to rescue his pets!
NOTE: Best experienced with a controller!
Weave and shoot through nine hand-crafted stages designed to challenge you until mastery and provide a colorful and distinct view while it's at it!
As a spin on the classic FOCUS mode formula, SOLSTORM utilizes the burst meter, which while fulfilling the duties of the FOCUS meter found in many other bullet hells requires careful resource management to maximize it's effectiveness.
Each tier of the meter provides different abilities and specials for your character, and you'll have to experiment to find the right opportunity to use them for both score maximization and stage survival.
Mastery of the meter will be essential for surviving many of SOLSTORM's stages and encounters.
The right moment can hinge on one decision or spiral into disaster.
SOLSTORM encourages replaying the stages for mastery, especially as the game gets more difficult and provides a Replay Viewer so you can analyze or share your runs with others! Rack up those score numbers and perfect clears!
SOLSTORM is fully independent game developed by a solo-developer featuring a custom game-engine, in addition to self-produced music, and art!
