Verified Accounts & Account Linking
When an account is linked you will be in a linked state, meaning you get the full online experience. Unlinked accounts will behave the same way as the accounts with unverified email currently do (any form of trading is disabled, more info below). You can link one PanicNet account to multiple platforms once per platform, meaning that an account can be linked to both a Steam Account and a Google Play account (and to more platforms in the future).
No access:
It is not possible to transfer any characters, cosmetics or season rewards from one account to another, but it is possible to trade, send mail or use other forms of trading if you want to transfer some items from alt to main before Season 7, which is scheduled to start 6th of June.
Whats the plan?
From next Season onwards, you will be prompted to link your PanicNet account to your platforms account ID (Steam / Google Play). For most users this requires a simple button click in the game after a successful login and you're all set. To sum it up
Same applies for all platforms, but let's use Steam here as an example:- Only one PanicNet account can be linked per Steam account and vice versa
- After the linking, logging in to the PanicNet account in Hero Siege is only possible with the linked Steam account
Linked accounts
- All regular online play features available, including the Market, Mailbox, Trading, Chat
- Enhanced security (eg. Only your Steam Account can login to your PanicNet Account in Hero Siege)
- Automatic Login for linked accounts
Unlinked accounts
Access to:- Online Play with trading disabled (see below)
- Blood Pacts and all its features, including stash and chat
- Guild Perks, Guild Chat
- Wormhole Highscores
- Hero Level Highscores
- Chaos Tower Highscores
- "Season First to Level 100" leaderboard
No access:
- Market
- Mailbox
- Trading (including "drop trading")
- Guild Stash
- Sending chat messages (excluding Guild and Blood Pact chats)
Why?
The reason for these changes is to prevent abuse and to provide a better multiplayer experience for all the Hero Siege players. Moving forward, we need to more strongly enforce our "One account per user" policy to make it happen, and we feel that this is the right way to do it without compromising any existing accounts in the process.And what about my alts?
You can only link one account per platform (let's use Steam as an example again). If you have "alt accounts" you used to access with the same Steam account, that will still be possible.
