I'm thrilled to announce Starmetal Crusaders' participation in the Steam RTS Fest! To celebrate, weve packed this update with exciting new features, improvements, and faction updates to elevate your gameplay experience.

Major Updates

All Five Factions Are Now Playable!

The wait is overcommand any of the five factions, each with their own unique mechanics, units, and playstyles.

Skirmish Mode Added

Play on multiple maps in our newly introduced Skirmish Mode! Test your skills against AI opponents in thrilling battles tailored to each map.

Tutorial Mode Added

A brand-new tutorial is here to help new players master the unique hybrid RTS gameplay. Learn the controls and mechanics to become a Crusader champion!

Faction-Specific Audio & Themes

All faction units now have their own voice lines and audio feedback.
Each faction also boasts its own theme music, immersing you further into their identities.

Improved Clarity of Actions

Visual and audio clarity for gameplay actions has been significantly improved, making it easier to track whats happening on the battlefield.

Faction Profile Window

Stay on top of your strategy with the new Faction Profile Window. Press F5 to view a detailed breakdown of your factions buildings, units, and overall playstyle.

Faction Overviews

Red Terran Republic

A human-like faction that employs automatic building and traditional ore gathering.
Unique Mechanic: Worker units must enter structures to build specific units.

Blue Protolith

Mineral-based lifeforms that harness ore itself as a resource.
Unique Mechanic: Can only construct buildings on or near ore fields, making expansion crucial to dominate.

Green Nekoto[/h3]
A diverse group of beast-like aliens organized by clans.
Unique Mechanic: Cannot gather ore directly but use slavery to collect resources and sacrifice slaves to train new units.

White Khonsu

A faction of short, small stardust aliens led by a divine goddess.
Unique Mechanic: Structures are summoned by the goddess using stardust, but ore is only gained by destroying enemy buildings and attacking units.

Black Vulkin

Hive-minded parasite aliens under the control of their queen.
Unique Mechanic: Workers can morph into various forms to gather ore, construct structures, or build new units.
