Replicube is an open-ended programming puzzle game/toy about writing code to replicate 3D voxel-based objects.
SOLVE PUZZLES
The main content of the game involves trying to match a reference object by working out code that will replicate it. There is no "right answer", if your code produces the same object, it's correct!
PLAY AROUND
You can always open the voxel tool in "free edit" mode and just play around, making whatever you want. In addition to the main 3D voxel editor, there is also a bonus 2D image editor for writing code to generate 2D images and GIF animations. You can even save your image creation as the background image in the "OS" interface of the game!
JOIN THE COMMUNITY
Every puzzle has 2 leaderboards, measuring source code size, and execution efficiency. Often optimizing for one will be at the expense of the other. If you enjoy trying to squeeze a bit more out of your code, the leaderboards are waiting!
There is also an in-game online forum where players can share their own voxel creations, and even challenge other players to try to recreate them, all presented in an old-school online forum wrapper.
EXPORT YOUR CREATIONS
Generated 3D voxel objects can be exported into common formats to bringing into other 3D creation tools.
Generated 2D images and animations can also be exported as png or gif for sharing online.
The latest update to Replicube adds a new Puzzles of the Week feature!
New puzzles are now being added on a weekly basis!
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday a new puzzle is released. Check the new Puzzles of the Week section of FILES MANAGER for the latest puzzle.
The latest puzzle is always the 'active' puzzle (highlighted), and the leaderboards for that puzzle are live until the next puzzle is released.
Older puzzles are considered 'archived': you can still solve them, but the leaderboards are frozen (no new scores allowed).
Other players' solutions can be viewed (for archived leaderboards) by opening up the leaderboard and selecting the 'CODE VIEW' button.
Looking at other players' solutions is a great way to learn!
Our first official community event "RepliFest Summer 2025" is happening this Sunday, May 25th at 10am pacific!
This will be a live broadcast on my twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/walaber) featuring:
- Blind Speed Solve Tournament: contestants will have 10 minutes to solve never-before-seen puzzles, with points for solving first + having best code size / cycles scores at the end of the 10 minutes.
- Build Battle: contestants will have 10 minutes to create brand-new artwork based on a prompt, with twitch chat voting on the winner(s) of each round.
I hope to see you there!

This is a small update (1.1.1 Version 18C) that has a few changes:
- Switched RepliCube to multi-threaded execution to speed up evaluating large objects / animated objects.
- You can now have as many code tabs as you want in Free Edit mode to have multiple in-progress projects as you want.
Version 1.1.1 / 17C is now live on Steam and makes some improvements to the code autocomplete system that should make it more useful for players.
A new update is now available on Steam (1.1.1 Version 17B) which has 2 major new features:
Rivals List
you can now make a list of players (called your "rivals") and then filter all leaderboards to only show those players! This should make the leaderboards a bit more meaningful for a wider range of players, or friend groups who are playing the game and want to easily compare their scores.EMOJIS!
When posting in cubenet, we now have some beautiful 16x16 pixel art emojis that you can use! See the new emoji panel on the right when posting, and click on an emoji to insert its name into your post. In addition to many standard emojis, there are some fun ones specific to Cubenet.Read Status
Threads will now indicate if they have unread posts to help you keep track of what's new in cubenet.Hello Replicubers!
The first post-release patch is now live on Steam. This update mostly addresses bugs, but also has some new features. Here's a short recap of the changes:

I will be sharing my roadmap soon with my plan for future updates and improvements to the game as well, both in-game on cubenet, and here on Steam in the discussion forums.
Happy cubing!
