Hey all~ Well, after 3 long months of intense work, it's finally here. The bigger, better, and more expanded version of Late Homework is now available here on Steam! In it you can expect to find way more content than in the previous game jam version, such as:

15 Steam achievements.
9 cool unlockable outfits for Haneko to wear.
Rank + scoring for speedruns.
Whole new explorable area outside the school.
More lore, puzzles, and cutscenes.
Tons of polish, foreboding ambience, and new music tracks.

After all the work for art, coding, and animating that went into Late Homework over the last 3 months, I'm proud to say I'm very happy with the way it turned out. What started as a small jam game grew into a project that helped me learn more about independent game development (and what pitfalls to avoid next time)! Secondary school student Haneko has forgotten her assigned homework, and they're due tomorrow. Feeling she has no choice, she decides her only way to avoid failing the semester is to make a trip back to school at night and retrieve the assignments. But something's not right in the building...

An anomaly lurks the halls, seeking the souls of disobedient students.

Late Homework | 遅れた宿題 is a short survival-horror game in which you'll relive those timeless vibes of classic titles from the 32-bit era. Experience a bite-sized horror romp through fixed-camera perspectives and tank controls, crunchy low-poly visuals, and eerily foreboding environments... all while trying not to die from something dreadful.
