Nitronauts Demo Update 0.5.0Weve just released another update to the Nitronauts Demo. This update includes several fixes and tweaks:
- Multiple game controller bug: Fixed a bug that prevented additional controllers from registering input properly, rendering them unusable
- Default player speed: Increased the default player speed slightly
- Throw button UX: Instead of holding the drop-bomb button to pick up a bomb and pressing it again to throw, you now just tap the button while standing on a bomb
- Ghost bomb adjustments: Reduced the power of Ghost bombs; they now use standard bombs instead of super bombs. (We plan further adjustments so bombs will be thrown forward rather than dropped at the Ghosts feet when the fuse runs out)

- Player Loadout Bug: Fixed an issue where players couldn't start with the ability to throw bombs despite selecting this option in the Player Loadout menu.
- Panic Sequence Respawn Issue: Fixed a bug where players could respawn into walls during the panic sequence and not properly die.
- Text Rendering Improvement: Fixed a visual issue where unknown characters were displaying as red opaque placeholder squares.

[ 2025-02-28 14:11:00 CET ] [ Original post ] Nitronauts Demo Update 0.4.0Weve just rolled out a small patch for the Nitronauts Demo, addressing several important issues:
- Gamepad input on high refresh rate monitors being ignored: Fixed an issue where button presses werent being registered properly on monitors running above 60Hz.
- Players not respawning correctly in certain game modes: During King of the Hill & Territory panic sequences, players would respawn as ghosts. In extreme cases everyone would end up a ghost just watching the timer countdown. Now, in these game modes, players respawn as normal until the match end.
- Language preference persistence: Your chosen language preference will now correctly save between game restarts.
- Pause menu: Pressing Escape in-game brings up the pause menu.

I'm super excited to announce that the Nitronauts demo is now live! In this demo, up to 6 players can battle it out locally or online across two unique stages. While you'll get a small taste of the games stages, power-ups, and game modes, please note that this demo is just a glimpse of the full Nitronauts experience there's no single-player mode and some game rule customization options are limited. So, round up your friends and jump into the action for an epic multiplayer showdown!
