New Competition
The Balkan Cup follows a three-stage format. The first stage is an 8-team knockout round that includes teams from the lowest-ranked or non-affiliated Balkan countries, such as South Ossetia, Szkely Land, and Romani people. The last two teams from this round join the other higher-ranked Balkan teams in a 16-team group phase, which consists of a double round-robin. The winner from each group advances to a final 4-team knockout stage, where the champion is determined through two-leg matches.
New Teams
Added Western Armenia, Republika Srpska, and Romania people for the Balkan Cup.

Most independent teams no longer belong to the Others category; instead, they have been updated to one of the continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, North America and Oceania). These confederations differ from FIFA-affiliated organizations like UEFA and AFC and will not participate in World Cups or major continental tournaments by default.
AFC Cup Group Host
In line with real-life practices, each group in the third round of the AFC Cup will have a designated host identified by an orange home icon in matches.
Head-to-head
Fixed the group battle mode and there are some improvements about team ordering.
