Here are the changes in this first update to the demo:\n\n

• Changed the default key mapping for movement. Q and E are now strafe left and right. The quest log can now be opened with the TAB key. If you have already played the game before, you can reset your key mapping to the new one by clicking \"Restore Defaults\" on the controls screen accessible via the escape key menu. Depending on what you\'re used to, you may want to swap the A-D and Q-E mappings if those feel more normal to you. I didn\'t go with that because I didn\'t want to disrupt existing players by changing the A-D mapping they may already be used to.\n
• Made some map design changes. It seems that people really don\'t like walking through buildings, so that won\'t be possible anymore in the first two towns. Other zones are still being worked on, and the final version won\'t have passable buildings/walls/etc.\n
• Added a loading progress bar when loading the main game from main menu saved games or from the intro.\n
• Added a graphics quality setting to the settings on the main menu.\n
• Added more monster descriptions to the bestiary.\n
• Added a few more character portrait options. There are way too many portraits to cycle through and I plan to add a portrait browser in a future update.\n
• Added the ability to show exit indicators on the map as the letter E. Exits will not always be marked, but ones meant to be easy to find (like the exit from a town) will be.\n
• Added another area to the map - the wetland ruins. It\'s on an island near the graveyard and will be changing a fair amount before the full release.\n
• Polished the new spellcasting window a bit more and added more spell icons. The previously-cast spell\'s description will no longer show up by default when the window first opens.\n
• Resting now requires 2 food per character (12 total) and replenishes 6% of hitpoints and mana per hour rested. It will require two full 8-hour rests to recover all hitpoints and mana.\n
• Made it so you can\'t remove the last member from the adventuring party. You must have at least one active character at all times.\n
• Item icons will no longer pass under some other UI elements when using drag-and-drop on the character sheet.\n
• Made some changes to the soundtrack.\n
• Fixed an issue that caused pregenerated character portraits not to save. When the game cannot load a character\'s portrait (either a missing file, or no portrait specified), it picks one at random.\n
• Fixed an issue that could cause add/remove characters not to function on the roster screen accessible from the inn.\n
• Fixed an issue that could cause a non-spellcasting classes to start with one or two points of mana if they had high ability scores. They will now have zero.\n
• Removed the unused spell icon from the command icons. It was meant to be used for setting up a quick-cast spell, which isn\'t yet implemented.\n
• Manual updates in English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Japanese. Next update will have updates to Italian, Polish, and Turkish.\n
• Translation improvements.\n
