Throughout this journey, Ostera: The curse of... depicts a humorous saga where you are the hero, rich in cultural references, comic absurdities and moral dilemmas…

- The management of the village :

- Exploration :

- Narrative combats :

In the village management part of the game, you will have to balance resources such as food, gold and military forces while meeting the needs and complaints of your villagers.

In both exploration and combat, rely on your personal resources, mental strength, without forgetting your tools. Manage them wisely between each phase to avoid exhaustion.
Dear Messengers,

Its been just over three months since Ostera: The curse of launched in Early Access. Aside from a few initial bug fixes, no new content updates have been released yet.
Our social media channels have been quiet. Many players know this kind of silenceand for an early access game, thats rarely a good sign.
So, its time we shared some honest context and clarity with you.

Who are we?
Just a tiny team:
A writer
[/*]A developer
[/*]An artist
[/*]

On March 29, Ostera launched in Early Access. We received incredible support from so many streamers and content creators. It truly warmed our hearts, and seeing your live feedback helped us fix lots of little issues right away.
Then came the sales...
Despite the energy poured into the project by streamers, viewers, and supporters the game didnt sell well.
And as many of you probably know: no sales = no income = a tough time continuing development full-time.

Where are we now?
For the past few months, Ostera has become a side project something we work on during weekends or holiday breaks when we find the time.
But dont worry we havent abandoned the game!
It might not get all the content or small features we originally envisioned, but it will have a proper ending.

Weve identified three major reasons:
[olist]Early Access: Launching a story-driven game as our debut title in Early Access was a big gamble and a tough sell.
[/*]First-time creators: Ostera is our first-ever release. We had no previous audience, no communication experience, no community and that matters.
[/*]An unconventional game: Ostera doesnt fit neatly into the "graphic novel" mold. Its not the kind of game most players are used to and even we had trouble defining it at times.
[/*][/olist]

Why did we wait this long to say something?
We wanted to give it a few months before speaking out. We also didnt want to share emotional reactions or get too personal too soon.
But now, we believe its important that every current and future player knows the full context what theyre buying, and in what conditions Ostera will leave Early Access.

The bottom line?
Ostera is not abandoned.
Out of respect for:
our backers
[/*]the streamers who believed in us
[/*]you, the players who bought the game
[/*]and for ourselves, because we put our hearts into this project
[/*]We will finish what we started.
This summer, well have more time to focus on upcoming chapters.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Wishing you a wonderful day,
The Profits Troll Studio Team
