Dear Pilots,
The latest update has now been pushed to the beta branch! This update includes improved game feel and bug fixes. This is a small bug fix release, the issues from the last beta build are still being worked on and have not been fixed for this release.
Here is a video which shows how to switch to the beta branch: Watch here.
Improved game feel: We have added screen shake feedback for when you hit enemies or take damage. This is different for each weapon, for example it is more intense on the exploding weapon.
Decreased the volume of the intro splash screen, it was very loud before.
Fixed a crash when reaching higher waves, this was an issue with previous fixes to how the game manages the pool of objects being spawned in.
Here is a list of known issues, these will be fixed for the next beta release.
When turbo or shield inventory is full the game still destroys pickup objects when flown into.
Sound effects stack on top of each other and gets very loud. (This was helped in this update by removing the enemy fire sound effect for now.)
Controller glyphs for the turbo and shield do not appear. (North and West buttons activate those)
Enemy remaining counter is inaccurate, it seems to be losing track of how many enemies are spawned so there are leftover enemies at the end of waves.
Collected powerups are kept after dying.
Highest wave achieved text doesn't reset when resetting the game save.
Equipped skin stays the same when resetting the game save.
Game over sound is played when SFX is muted.
Options screen does not get translated when choosing a different language.
For the next beta update we will be fixing the list of issues above along with anything that the community reports to us.
When this is finished and tested, the next production build will be released!
In the future we plan to add more ship customization, new ship weaponry, online multiplayer modes, and leaderboards.
If you encounter bugs while playing the game, or want to suggest improvements and new features, we want to hear about them!
