WARNING
The original Sundered Isle's content, which utilized Unity 4, has been
moved to a Legacy Branch allowing players to access their old save data and continue playing the old content as they wish. Transferring save data between the Main game branch and the Legacy game branch is not supported.
Big Changes:
New Enemies: Trogres, Grinfels, Ghuuls, and Infernal Eks now roam the Savage world.
New Features & Patches Notes:
Trogres wield enormous weapons and will smash anything that crosses their path. An unaware Savage that is not prepared for this fight will be no match for these mighty foes!
Grinfels must consume silver to live. If you find one and kill it, make sure to loot it for this very precious metal.
Ghuuls scurry and crawl from the shadows of the old towns to rip you limb from limb.
Infernal Eks burn fiery rage when compared to their less dangerous greener siblings.
New items added! Here is a list of all of the new items that have been added or adjusted:
- A ‘Player Specific Item’ system is now available. This means certain items like ‘Gary’s Tattered Bag’ will be available for every player to pick up on that a server.
- Torches and Dim Torches no longer provide the player with warmth.
- Weapons now have piercing levels according to their type.
- Silver and Gold items are now available.
- Heavy Armor now has higher durability than Light Armor.
- Heavy Armor now requires a Crafting Table to repair.
- Light Armor can be repaired anywhere but requires the use of a Patching Kit. Patching kits are made from Needles and Sinew.
- Needles can now be crafted from Human or Animal Bones.
- Chests no longer have the Loot All function.
- Flawless items have been removed. They will no longer drop or be craftable. If you currently own one, they are still repairable.
Art:
- New art for the islands of Freydalyn and Jormunghar.
- Effects have been added to the volcanic vents of Jormunghar.
- Hot springs can now be found in Jormunghar.
- New towns have been added to Jormunghar.
- New icons and art added to the Journal.
Environment:
- Water is now less lethal.
- New locations added to Freydalyn, and Jormungahr.
- Jormunghar now has Silver nodes available.
- Cotton can now be found throughout Freydalyn.
- Buildables can now be placed in more areas.
- The Monolith has returned…
Enemies:
New animations have been added for the Skeletons, Wolves, Kiilots and Kruul.
Eldar is now named Eldair.
Furies no longer drop Worn Steel Gear, and instead drop Worn Iron Gear.
The Forest Giants, Kruul, Chilkoot, Kur, and the Furies have had their stats rebalanced.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed collision issues with portals.
- Fixed crash bug that occurred upon killing Kur.
- Fixed Forest Giant targeting and health resetting issues.
- Fixed several visual bugs related to armor and missing armor.
- Fixed the water avoidance for enemy AI. Thus ends the days of the Seadeers. Rest in peace our furred aquatic friends.
- Fixed the block system so now pierced shields and armor will still properly block 40% of the damage.
- Fixed the "You are no longer freezing." message that was spamming the player chat window.
- Dropping an equipped secondary item should now properly update your inventory player model.
- Various crash and network issues have been addressed.
- LOD issues with certain objects.
Next Up:
- Moving the Beta branch to the Main branch on Monday, March 14th, 2016.
- Moving the original game branch to a Legacy branch on Monday, March 14th, 2016.
- Item adding and balancing continues.
