Focus on: The Ships & Space Pirates

Happy New Year! Ship maps have been enhanced and improved based on feedback and suggestions. On Ship maps you’ll encounter new enemies, events, hazards, and a variety of ways to get your crew killed. Space Pirates have banded together to form The Scarlet Pact faction and have started appearing as mission targets.

Missions

Added new mission customizations to all types to include the new Pirate faction.
Pirate Captains can now be bounty hunt targets.
CorpSec Officers that are bounty hunt targets have picked up new tricks.
Missions that do not target another faction directly have had their rep reward reduced.
Mission difficulty now has a larger impact on the number and lethality of traps.

Combat

Added new Pirate enemy types to Ship, Corporate, Lab, Facility and Mine maps.
Added new unique Pirate combat loot drops.
Consumables (chems, medkits, etc) can now be used in combat with an improved interface.
Added additional sounds for Cyberninja and Force Psyker abilities.

Exploration

Enemies that are intelligent enough and authorized can now open doors to pursue you.
Ship maps now feature a unique event that allows skilled teams to access different systems of the ship to reveal objectives, enemies, disable traps, and more.
New event types added for Ships.
New hot loot items for Ships.

Changes

The Ability Point maximum now caps at 63. Characters with excess points can adjust theirs by visiting the Medbay and resetting your Ability Points.

Based on user feedback, when running missions with less than 3 crawlers, enemy numbers in combat are reduced. Does not affect boss fights or enemy strength. We’d like to hear your feedback on how this mechanic feels!

Easy and Cakewalk missions no longer spawn fewer encounters due to difficulty, but the individual strength of mobs in combat is still reduced.

Fixes

Fixed an issue where using Autosave & Quit from the spacestation ESC menu could fail to update the autosave correctly - thanks samuraipoet!
Fixed an issue where saving with 1 crawler could cause an issue in the saloon - thanks Lyric!
Player tabs in explore mode now correctly reflect the current health of the team.
Fixed an issue where context text boxes could persist into combat.
Fixed an issue with secret rooms inside some Corp rooms leading into spaaaaace!
