I am very grateful for this, and I can only say thank you to all the people who are supporting me and showing their love for the game on social media everywhere, day by day. I know that this store update might reach people who haven't pledged for the project yet, possibly for diverse reasons. Being a child of the 90s, I grew up playing adventure games during the era of big, wonderful physical releases. These boxes featured gorgeous art (often much better than the game visuals) and complete manuals that explained not only how to play the game but also its lore and curiosities. With classics like The Curse of Monkey Island, Kings Quest VII, and Grim Fandango in mind, I designed the big box for Legends of Castile. This is what I created, and I hope you like it as much as I do! Youll find it in the campaign starting at the Big Box tier.

Hello adventurers!, We are making a point and click adventure called Legends of Castile. It is a new comic fantasy point-and-click adventure with full HD hand-drawn graphics, and a twist: The protagonist's biggest dream is to become a nun, and she must investigate the region's folk legends to fulfill it. Is that intriguing enough for you? Well, we have more insights about the spooky story: The main character of this adventure is Mara, a young and fearless, though clumsy, Castilian girl. The story begins when, just after a long night with her friends, Mara has a vision of the Virgin Mary, after which she decides to become a nun. Mara asks to be ordained at a convent in Burgos, where her future mother superior assigns her a very important mission: To fulfill her dream, Mara must investigate the mythological creatures that have been appearing around the territory of Castile, and collect an item from each to prove their existence. Only once she has done this will the bishop take action against the creatures, to end their threat to the population of Castile... and Christianity. Hello adventurers!

Were announcing that there will be a Legends of Castile Kickstarter campaign in February! Kickstarter is probably the most known crowdfunding service of the world, it has been used for funding thousands of videogames, and what is more important, for similar adventure games, with great success.

Why Crowdfunding?

Torrezno Entertainment is actually a solo developer studio with some help. I take care of most of the development by doing the script, puzzle design, art, animation, character design, programming etc. However, there are some things that I cannot do, like music, sound design, voice over, proofreading, more translations and these are needed so we can deliver to the players the professional and top quality adventure game that you deserve. In the campaign, well explain in a detailed way how the funds will be used. Therefore, either you have been following the game development or not, this could interest you, because not only youll be able to help the development of the game by pre-purchasing the game, but you'll also be able to get rewards, specially if you like to collect adventure game physical perks, like a big box, manual, badges, and more!

How could players help?

The moment when we are going to need your help to make this dream a reality will come very soon, in February. Game development is advancing and now we are working on the full story and design. Moreover, we are going to start planning a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the game that will be announced soon so you can pre register on it. We are very pleased to announce that the demo has now voice over in English and Spanish in dialogues and monologues of the demo, which is a great achievement for such a small indie project like this, and we want to thank every single actor and actress that has forms part in the cast, for their great interpretation and kindness.

A revision of French texts has been done by DMT Rtro Gaming.

UI improvements

Several improvements have been performed to the UI of the game. One of them is that in the inventory, now players will be able to look at the objects with only left click, as a look icon appears when hovering each item. The intention of this is that the user is more aware that they can (It is important for puzzles) look at the objects at the inventory screen, and being consistent with a one button interface. Other minor UI improvements have been done in the menu of the game, like context aware popups.

Bug fixing

An updated demo is available now for Steam Next Fest with English and Spanish voice over and UI improvements!

Dialogues voice over

We are very pleased to announce that the demo has now voice over in English and Spanish in dialogues and monologues of the demo, which is a great achievement for such a small indie project like this, and we want to thank every single actor and actress that has forms part in the cast, for their great interpretation and kindness.

French language revision

A revision of French texts has been done by DMT Rtro Gaming.

UI improvements

Several improvements have been performed to the UI of the game. One of them is that in the inventory, now players will be able to look at the objects with only left click, as a look icon appears when hovering each item. The intention of this is that the user is more aware that they can (It is important for puzzles) look at the objects at the inventory screen, and being consistent with a one button interface. Other minor UI improvements have been done in the menu of the game, like context aware popups.

Bug fixing
