ROGUE-FP is a blend of old school classic roguelike gameplay with new school first person controls and perspective. There is no movement grid and no rigid turn system to slow you down.
To survive you'll have to identify the items, navigate the dark labyrinths within the dungeon, and fight your way past the monsters. With enough skill and a decent amount of luck they say it can be done. Give it your best shot!


Synopsis
The Fighters guild has a high bar for entry. They want you to delve deep into the Dungeon of Doom and return to the surface with the Amulet of Yendor. This update adds a new monster: the xeroid that mimics the stairs tile. It can be quite strong but you are given about 1 turns worth of warning before it attacks. Also added is support for controllers. Here are the controls in the Nintendo layout style:
It may be a while until the next update as I'm planning a full rewrite of the dungeon generation system. Monsters may also need to be rewritten to some extent to take advantage of the new way rooms and halls will generate. Dungeons may generate quite differently from the way they do now but I plan on changing the extended set button in the options menu to a classic mode button that will then also enable the old style of dungeon generation.
As always please let me know if you come across any bugs or crashes or problems with the controls.

- fixed bug where an item polymorphed by a fairy might not be considered "picked up" by the game
- fixed bug where the food detection status icon wouldn't go away when the status effect timer was up
- fixed old bug where if you shoved your mouse forward fast enough the camera would go upside down
