Being a solo dev is wonderful for so many reasons, but it also has some downsides. One of those is the inability to test and debug every scenario and every possible sequence of events in a game as complex as a farm sim. No matter how much testing I do, until the game is in the hands of many people, I can't know all the bugs that are lurking and ready to leap out. It also means that it's difficult to see the forest for the trees as far as gameplay goes. It's hard to see the big picture of how it feels for a first-time player to experience the game. Now that more people have played it, I've come to the painful conclusion that Dreaming Isles is not quite ready for release. It needs more polish, more debugging, and more gameplay clarity. So, as difficult as this is, I'm pushing the release back to January of 2025. I want to do right by you, the player, and I want to release something that I'm proud of. I apologize to anyone who has been anticipating the game (all three of you!). I hope this will make for a better experience come January. Thank you. -YawningDad
