We're super excited to announce a massive new update that introduces a whole new game dynamic that completely changes how you play sand:box... playable characters!

Now you can design levels that you can actually play, allowing you to interact with everything and even play multi-player. We plan to add more objects to use fairly soon, but we rushed this out early so you have something to play for Christmas, enjoy!

Update summary:

• players - 2 human controllable characters. Should work with controllers or keyboard.
• vehicles - can drive them around, and lean to control your weight distribution.
• carry items - you can drive a motorbike, carry a jetpack and a weapon.
• doors - powered sliding doors that can also be used as elevators.
• switches - players can toggle switches, letting you open doors or control electronics.
• climbing - you can climb edges or up some plants or wires. wood / tin can be used to make ladders.
• sound synth - make retro music for your circuits, great for making retro consoles.
• ROM writer - easy way to change ROMs in game, so you can use them as memory.
• data wires - unlocking incredible computing power, link ROMs together and send everything through logic gates.
• mirrors - redirect laser pulses.
  

We're excited to announce our biggest update so far, in more than 5 years!

Firstly, Steamworks support, so you can share your designs and gadgets with others.

And we have added 30+ new materials that allow you to make electric circuits. This allows you to make things as complicated as a whole computer processor or 3D printer for example!

New circuit materials:

• Power supplies - batteries, mains power, steam engine and voltage regulators.
• Connections - Wires, bus wires, Junctions and wire links.
• Logic gates - Oscillator, OR, AND, NOR, NAND, XOR, NOT, SHIFT registers and D latches.
• ROMs - hex editor and addressable ROMs.
• peripherals - joypad or keyboard as input.
• Devices - Lasers, Tesla coils, Sliding door, Peltier heat pump, Heater wire and conveyor belts.
• Displays - LCD and E-ink displays.
• LEDs - Red, Green, Blue and 16 color.
• Replicator - input a bus, output any material you choose.
• Deactivator - disable other Materials.
• Switches and Relays.
