The update also improves performance and adds a new graphics option: screen-space reflections. The setting is turned off by default, because weaker graphics cards will struggle with it.
Originally, the plan was to release Geared for Fear in Early Access this year. Instead, the ongoing free alpha will continue into next year. There is no planned end date for the alpha, but at minimum, it will last for three more months.
