You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
... don't you trust me?
Features
- A princess. She's very bad and you have to get rid of her for all our sakes.
- No, the Princess isn't a cosmic horror. She's just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it.
- Don't even think about trying to romance her. It won't end well for you.
- Hopefully you won't die. But if you do, you'll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!
- Time loops No time loops. Don't be ridiculous. Time is a strictly linear concept and it certainly doesn't "loop," whatever that's supposed to mean.
- A branching narrative where what you say and what you believe determines both your build and how the story unfolds.
- A new roleplaying experience from the creators of Scarlet Hollow.
- Fully voice-acted by the impeccable Jonathan Sims and Nichole Goodnight.
Slay the Princess is a choice-driven psychological horror visual novel/dating sim with dramatic branching, light RPG elements, and hand-penciled art.
Hey folks!
We're so excited to announce that the official Slay the Princess art book is about to go off to the printer! We've got over 290 pages of analogue, choice-driven gameplay in hardcover, complete with concept art and thorough developer commentary!
Abby personally laid out every page of this book, so it should have the same heart and soul as the game.
You can pre-order your copy from Serenity Forge's store (and if you pick it up with a physical edition of the game you should be able to save on shipping...) The size of the print run is going to depend on how many pre-orders we get, so now's a good time to buy a copy!
To our fans in the EU, we're currently looking into a separate distribution option so shipping is less brutal. Stay tuned!
With that out of the way... take a look... if you dare...
And I'm realizing that we don't have any photos of pages with concept art on them, so here's a screenshot of what those pages'll look like with the Eye of the Needle!
To folks who want a cheaper alternative, we'll be releasing a digital copy of the art book on Steam just in time for the game's 2 year anniversary for $14.99 USD (with regional pricing!) :]
(That'll be October 20th, if you want a date to mark on your calendar.)
All the best, and thank you, as always, for everything you've done for us.
~ Tony and Abby
