VEIN is a post-apocalyptic survival multiplayer sandbox game.
In the near future, the apocalypse has occurred: hostile zombies roam the Earth, most people have died, and society has collapsed. You are a survivor.
Gather supplies to survive, explore abandoned buildings, combat bandits, defend your home, and rebuild society with friends.

Planned Features:

  • Dynamic Environment
As time passes and seasons change, the world of Vein does too. Persistent, long-scale random events affect gameplay.
  • Intelligent AI
AI can see, hear, feel, and smell you, and react intelligently to those senses. You're being watched. Terrifying zombie variants make survival that much more difficult.
  • Customizable Characters
From your hair to your body type to your stats, you can customize your character and make them truly unique among the survivors.
  • Usable Everything
You can interact with nearly everything you can see. Open mailboxes, adjust faucets, and knock on doors. Throw a can of beans at a zombie if you like.
  • Fortification
Build over the destroyed world and establish safehouses. Defend yourself from raiders and invasions. Maintain your base by yourself or with friends.
  • Long-Term Survivalism
Hunt, fish, and trap. Till land and grow your own food. Chop your own wood. Once canned goods run out, you're on your own.
  • Vehicles and Maintenance
Get around the world of Vein with cars and trucks. Refuel and maintain your vehicle. Upgrade parts to repair damage and improve performance.

  • Food, fluid decay labels in inventory now have colors
  • Add 'See All' cheat to admin menu
  • Cell phones, flashlights, etc. now break/discharge underwater
  • Add console commands for flying cheat/admin movement, smoothing, etc.
  • Setting TV URLs now logs to dedicated servers
  • You can drag car parts just on the car part label to install them
  • Fried eggs are now called fried eggs instead of fried egg tray
  • Add admin menu command to broadcast a message to all players
  • New pickaxe mesh
  • Some clothing placeholders have been replaced with actual clothes
  • Feedback menu now saves what you were writing so you can close and reopen it
  • Add lock difficulties (some pickable locks are harder than others)
  • Thieves now start with lockpicks and a lockpick schematic
  • Fuel tanks now have a use option to withdraw fluid
  • Less unpredictable hypothermia condition

  • All lights (e.g. chandeliers, wall lights, whatever) are now wireable
  • Workbench search bar now searches required ingredients (e.g. search 'onion' to find recipes that require onions)
  • Corpses now rot into rotting corpses, then skeletons, then nothing; each has a different scent level
  • Planters in the world now randomly start with dirt or plants in them
  • Add FillFuel cheat (fills the fuel tank or generator you are looking at with fuel)
  • Stuff attached to vehicles breaks if they run into a wall/something solid
  • Add light distance slider to graphics settings (you can see lights from further away)
  • New icons for gas container items
  • TV UI improvements
  • Fluid acceptor UIs now have tooltips
  • New swimming animations
  • New interior materials for houses (plaster, wood flooring, etc.)
