Happy New Year from Frost Earth Studio and what's coming in 2015

Happy New Year from the team behind Rift's Cave and Frost Earth Studio! We've spent an epic 2014 developing Rift's Cave while experiencing the magic of Virtual Reality with the Oculus Rift. We're happy we have made a little community and we want to say a big thank you to all the Rift's Cave supporters. There are people that like it and people that don't like it, but we still thank all of you for the support! This includes the negative feedback that is honest, and helps us create an awesome and better game for everybody.

What you should expect from the 2015?


  • Secret chambers to find hidden within the maps of Rift's Cave
  • A new map available to play (this map includes the dragon that is visible in every cover of Rift's Cave!)
  • An ending to Rift's Cave
  • We're going to adjust A LOT the plot itself adding some cut scenes to better implement the story of Rift's Cave!
  • Graphical adjustments to the scenery and details of the game. Expect to see better landscapes and detail within the cave!
  • A bunch of bug fixes will be ready within the first weeks/months of 2015
You'll be able to play all the available maps without many issues at all! We've solved a lot of bugs on the first 4 levels, and have been working hard on fixing the levels beyond that, so don't worry, we will be implementing these to our Steam build soon! Hoping that this news will be exciting enough, and we would like to say again

THIS GAME REQUIRES THAT YOU OWN AN OCULUS RIFT DK2.

Rift's Cave is an adventure/puzzle solving Virtual Reality game designed for the Oculus Rift.

This game was inspired from beautiful, diverse environments and scenery - in Rift's Cave you'll be able to experience such inspirations for the first time in stereoscopic view.

You'll live an epic adventure exploring fantasy landscapes, solving mysteries and using your magic skills to defend yourself from what lies within. Discover epic temples, deserts, snowy forests, giant caves and much more!

Rift's Cave Alpha Features


  • Begin the adventure, find out who you are and why you're stranded in a mysterious cavern.
  • Use your magic skills to protect yourself against bloodcurdling ghosts, solve puzzles, or just turn a light when you can't see!
  • Explore for hours! You'll be projected into a new fantastic fantasy world for the first time in VIRTUAL REALITY!
