We know you anxiously await our next big update, Fun with Objects. Because this is such a massive and game-changing update, we wanted to take a moment to give a brief heads-up on work in progress and what were actually working on behind the scenes, so to speak. Its shaping up to be one of our most significant and exciting updates yet!
Here are some teasers of some of the new features we planned, below:
Multi-level Room Generation!
Were taking Dungeon Alchemist to the next level, literally. It will be possible to create and add multiple floors to your buildings, and build any room on top of any other room. And yes, this will bring roofs and ceilings, too.

Going underground
Seeing as were going up, we figured we may as well start going down. In the Fun with Objects update it will be possible to go below the level of the current terrain, and even manipulate the terrain below the surface.

Custom Object Brushes
Well be making it possible to turn any object into a brush, so you can easily plop down a massive amount of just about anything, including custom objects from the Steam Workshop.

Universal Object Scaling
This quality-of-life feature allows you to change the scale of your entire object collection. Whether you're making a tiny village or a castle for giants, the object's size will now match your vision.

Abstract Lighting (Invisible light sources)
Fun with Objects will feature new, easily placed, and adjusted light sources that disappear on export to properly light any scene in seconds.

Batch Map Exports
Were designing a robust feature to output any number of maps easily, and with different export settings.

Decals A tool to paint overlays on just about anything

Furthermore:
- Object rotation on any axis
- The ability to save any group of objects as a variant
- Modular assets to allow for the easy creation of complex structures
and a lot more!
All of these are game-changing additions, and they forced us to basically rebuild Dungeon Alchemist from the ground up. That takes time, and we truly appreciate your patience. More information and teasers will become available as soon as we can share them. If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to comment below. We are still entirely committed to making Dungeon Alchemist the absolute best it can be. We have listened to your feedback, and in the future we will try our best to provide a monthly development update. In the mean, for daily news, questions, and support, don't hesitate to
