Steam Next Fest and Coloring Voxels

Happy Steam Next Fest! Thank you for checking out Coloring Voxels! The long-awaited sequel to Coloring Pixels where we take color-by-numbers to a whole new dimension!

Color vibrant dioramas in this 3D, voxel-based art game. From the inside out, everything is fully detailed! Build worlds layer-by-layer and find the hidden treasures and secrets buried under or inside the worlds you create!

For the duration of the festival, Coloring Voxels has a free Demo available for you to play! The Demo includes the entire first world (Volcano) for you to complete. Try it, have fun, and hopefully you will get a better understanding of what is to come at launch this August!

Happy Diwali!

Today is the start of Diwali and we wanted to celebrate with you! For a whole week in Coloring Pixels, we have added a brand new Seasonal Effect to enjoy as you celebrate this festival of lights.
The Seasonal Effect will run from the 1st of November to the 7th of November. Despite that the dates for Diwali are subject to change each year, this event will run on the same dates in Coloring Pixels each year to avoid conflicts with the Halloween seasonal effects. Another Year!

The 17th of August marks 6 years since the launch of Coloring Pixels, and 7 years of ToastieLabs! With your continued help every year, we have been able to make Coloring Pixels bigger and better, we cannot thank all of you enough for helping us get this far! Our Flagship game that keeps ToastieLabs running and allows all of us here to keep making games for you all to enjoy. It has been yet another amazing year for us here at ToastieLabs! Since the last anniversary, we have managed to make a new DLC each month Coloring Pixels whilst continuing support for WooLoop and hexceed! Jack has drawn 12 new books for you since last time with even more yet to come! The whole team has been hard at work creating content, finding marketing opportunities and essentially creating a whole new game from the ground up. With our ambitious branching out in the 3D world, we have had so much fun creating cute creatures we call Skylets and can't wait to have you all along for the ride very, very soon!

As always, every Coloring Pixels Birthday is dedicated to you, our community. Since last year, our community has continued to grow and develop and we are very excited about what we have achieved together. You guys are amazing <3 Social Media - Twitter was already a good place to go for interaction between us and the community but it has been exciting to see the continued growth of our Twitter, thank you! Discord - Our Community Discord server has almost doubled in size to just under 2000 users this year! This is the best place to chat with us directly as the whole team uses this server during the weekdays. A huge thank you to our moderators, helpers, and community as a whole for keeping this a safe space for everyone to hang out. Reddit - We have a ToastieLabs subreddit! Still small and cosy but we post regularly with updates for those of you who prefer this format. YouTube - We have kept the Dev Blog going all year due to your support and love of the weekly videos! Now at 3600+ Subscribers, we have recently started uploading our Livestream VODs and even super long versions of our Dev Blogs for you to relive the early days on ToastieLabs in 9-10 hour long videos. Twitch - Livestreaming is something we only recently started doing more seriously. Stop by on a Friday every other week to watch one of us do something Game Dev-related live! You can even subscribe and get some ridiculous Twitch Emotes of Jack's face. Patreon - A huge thank you to everyone on our Patreon, the love and support from Patreon has grown and grown with every year, and we cannot thank you enough <3 A special mention to our Patreons for their contribution to Coloring Pixels by voting on what DLC they want to see each month! To celebrate the 6th anniversary of Coloring Pixels, were hosting another competition! Now is your chance to get your own pixel art in Coloring Pixels! The 20 winners of this competition will have their pixel art featured in a free update to Coloring Pixels. It's very easy to enter; keep reading to find out all the information you need. When you're ready, click on the link at the bottom. The deadline is the 11th of October 2024 at 17:00 UTC, the winners will be announced on the 18th of October 2024 via a blog post on our website, Steam announcement, Discord, and Twitter. Links to the socials can be found on our website!

Rules and Suggestions

We need to make sure that your pixel art is compatible for use in Coloring Pixels. To help improve your chances, we have come up with a few simple rules for you to follow and some suggestions to help you get started.

Rules (the dull bit):

• You must submit an image of file type PNG. Sadly, PNG is the only image file format supported by Coloring Pixels. Other formats can easily be converted to PNG through most image editing software and online converters.
• The image must have a maximum dimension of 300x300 pixels. As you will have noticed, the larger images in Coloring Pixels take exponentially more time to complete. Although we know a lot of you prefer larger images, we don't want levels taking weeks to complete.
• Submission must have fewer than 100 different colors. The fewer colors, the better for Coloring Pixels; so try to keep to as few as possible. It isn't easy to know how many different colours there are in an image, so if you accidentally submit more than 100 colors it will be alright (we will need to pass your image through a filter). Some applications such as Aseprite let you create a color palette (which we recommend) which allows you to keep track of colors easily. If you choose an application such as paint.net we recommend sticking to the pencil tool over using paintbrush tools as they can often create numerous different shades of colors in an attempt to blend with the background.
• You must submit pixel art. A simple but important rule, the artwork you submit must be in the style of pixel art, resized photographs or graphical art will not be selected if no pixel art alterations have been made to the image.
• You must own the art piece. Please don't submit on behalf of someone else without their permission, please make the art piece yourself for this competition. We check to see if the art you submitted belongs to someone else as we cannot use people's work without their consent.

Suggestions

• Size doesn't matter! As long as you keep within the 300x300 image dimension limit you won't be penalised for submitting a smaller image. We will be judging submissions based on aesthetics and not complexity. For example, submitting an image of size 10x20 will be judged equally to one of size 150x200.
• "Which software should I use?" We recommend using either Pixaki (used by our Artist on the iPad to make Coloring Pixels levels), Aseprite or Paint.net (free). All are very powerful pieces of software that are more than capable of creating pixel art for this competition. That being said, you can use whichever software you want, as long as you can draw and produce a PNG file it should be good enough.
• "I've gone brain dead... I need inspiration!" - We can't choose for you, but you can draw anything. If you can't think of anything new or inspiring, try drawing something you love (film, game, pet fish, lasagne) or even something on your desk (Keys, a book, the framed ToastieLabs Poster you got from our merch store).
  • If you want to submit a photograph of your cute pet, we recommend resizing it in your art software of choice and tracing over it on a separate layer to recreate your cute companion in pixel art.
  • If you wish to generate image suggestions with AI, that's fine too! All we ask is that you use it as inspiration and make the piece yourself.
• "Can I submit multiple times?" Yes, don't hold back! Submit as many images as you like. We will judge each image anonymously and individually.

"Why is it snowing in Coloring Pixels?"

The Winter event is making a return! You may notice that no matter what image you are coloring, the background is icy blue and there is pixel snow falling down the screen!
This is our Christmas Seasonal Effect! During the whole month of December, to get us all in the Christmas spirit, we play this effect! Not a fan of the snowy backdrop? No worries! Toggle 'Seasonal Effects' in the settings menu to customize your experience. This year, things get even more magical with the addition of a cool little snowman (pun intended) who bobs along the colour pallet!
Look at him go! The Christmas Seasonal Effect isn't just for Christmas! With Seasonal Effects turned on, all of the Advent books, as well as the Holidays book, will have the event playing all year round when you color these seasonal images, so don't worry about missing out!

Advent Calendars!

As it is officially December, we can start opening our Advent Calendars! You can play any/all of the Advent Books from 1 to 5 as an Advent Calendar, which means you get to open up and color one image per day on each book to count down the days until Christmas! Follow Our Progress!

Skystead Ranch is still a very much work in progress. All of the imagery and game footage you see is pre-release Demo so the end result may vary. You can follow our week-to-week progress on our YouTube channel with weekly update Vlogs. Another Year!

The 17th of August marks 5 years since the launch of Coloring Pixels, and 6 years of ToastieLabs! With your help we have managed to put everything in place to make Coloring Pixels bigger and better than ever, we cannot thank all of you enough for helping us get this far! <3 It has been yet another milestone year for us here at ToastieLabs! Since the last anniversary, we have managed to make a new DLC each month Coloring Pixels even though we have added a whole new game WooLoop, with monthly DLC to our portfolio! Jack has drawn 12 new books for you over the course of 2022/2023 with even more yet to come! On top of all that, we have also released two new Coloring Pixels Collections on Nintendo Switch! Just like last year, your support has allowed us to expand once again! We have hired the mysterious Level Designer "Icy" who helps create and test content for our games. Our small team of 3 is now a not-as-small team of 4! To celebrate yet another huge milestone: We have added a new free bonus image to Coloring Pixels, we are hosting the 5th annual pixel art competition, and all* available ToastieLabs games and DLC on Steam will be at least 20% off all week long! Skystead Ranch is the first ambitious game title that we have been "secretly" working on over the past year. Together we have learned how to create 3D assets, characters and animations to be used in our first-ever big 3D game title! Skystead Ranch is an adventure, building, farming simulator where you improve, expand and explore your very own Sky Island to discover and befriend a variety of exciting and adorable creatures we call "Skylets"!

Meet us at MCM Comic Con London this October!

We are doing as much as we can to ensure Skystead Ranch gets elevated and promoted onto as many people's radar as possible - as such we have invested in hosting Skystead Ranch at a couple of different conventions, the largest being MCM Comic Con! We will be attending MCM Comic Con in person this October to showcase Skystead in our own booth. If you can attend, make sure you come along and say hello and more excitingly, pick up a free Skystead Ranch-themed goody bag with games, information and even branded sweets!

• Social Media - Twitter was already a good place to go for interaction between us and the community but it has been exciting to see the continued growth of our Twitter, thank you!
• Discord - Our Community Discord server has continued to grow beyond what we expected. We now have over 1100 of you in our Discord and chat with us and each other every single day! It really makes the work we put in worth it to get instant interaction with you, from your suggestions and feedback to jokes and special server roles! A huge thank you to our moderators, helpers, and community as a whole for keeping this a safe space for everyone to hang out.
• Reddit - We have a ToastieLabs subreddit! Still small and cosy but we post regularly with updates for those of you who prefer this format.
• YouTube - We have kept the Dev Blog going all year due to your support and love of the weekly videos! Drop by to see the inside of the development process from week to week. We've just achieved over 3000 subscribers! That's a whole 1000 more of you since last year!
• Patreon - A huge thank you to everyone on our Patreon, the love and support from Patreon has grown and grown with every year it's been live - approaching 3 years of support from you means so much to us, and we cannot thank you enough <3

To celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Coloring Pixels, were hosting another competition! Now is your chance to get your own pixel art in Coloring Pixels! The 20 winners of this competition will have their pixel art featured in a free update to Coloring Pixels. It's very easy to enter; keep reading to find out all the information you need. When you're ready, click on the link at the bottom. The deadline is the 13th of October 2023 at 17:00 UTC, the winners will be announced on the 20th of October 2023 via a blog post on our website, Steam announcement, Discord, and Twitter. Links to the socials can be found on our website!

Rules and Suggestions

We need to make sure that your pixel art is compatible for use in Coloring Pixels. To help improve your chances, we have come up with a few simple rules for you to follow and some suggestions to help you get started.

Rules (the dull bit):

• You must submit an image of file type PNG. Sadly, PNG is the only image file format supported by Coloring Pixels. Other formats can easily be converted to PNG through most image editing software and online converters.
• The image must have a maximum dimension of 300x300 pixels. As you will have noticed, the larger images in Coloring Pixels take exponentially more time to complete. Although we know a lot of you prefer larger images, we don't want levels taking weeks to complete.
• Submission must have fewer than 100 different colors. The fewer colors, the better for Coloring Pixels; so try to keep to as few as possible. It isn't easy to know how many different colours there are in an image, so if you accidentally submit more than 100 colors it will be alright (we will need to pass your image through a filter). Some applications such as Aseprite let you create a color palette (which we recommend) which allows you to keep track of colors easily. If you choose an application such as paint.net we recommend sticking to the pencil tool over using paintbrush tools as they can often create numerous different shades of colors in an attempt to blend with the background.
• You must submit pixel art. A simple but important rule, the artwork you submit must be in the style of pixel art, resized photographs or graphical art will not be selected if no pixel art alterations have been made to the image.

Suggestions

• Size doesn't matter! As long as you keep within the 300x300 image dimension limit you won't be penalised for submitting a smaller image. We will be judging submissions based on aesthetics and not complexity. For example, submitting an image of size 10x20 will be judged equally to one of size 150x200.
• "Which software should I use?" We recommend using either Aseprite or Paint.net (free). Both are very powerful pieces of software that are more than capable of creating pixel art for this competition. That being said, you can use whichever software you want, as long as you can draw and produce a PNG file it should be good enough.
• "I've gone brain dead... I need inspiration!" - We can't choose for you, but you can draw anything. If you can't think of anything new or inspiring, try drawing something you love (film, game, pet fish, lasagne) or even something on your desk (Keys, a book, the framed ToastieLabs Poster you got from our merch store).
• "Can I submit multiple times?" Yes, don't hold back! Submit as many images as you like. We will judge each image anonymously and individually.

r/Place on Reddit

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the r/Place fun over on Reddit. We managed to get our logo onto the piece multiple times. Thank you! Now, as promised, we are looking at our options for adding a thank you image(s) to Coloring Pixels. Initially, we planned to add a single, smaller, image to the game of the ToastieLabs logo on r/place as last year we had an outcry of players not enjoying the full r/place image in Coloring Pixels as it was simply too large for most players. However, since our initial post, we have heard your voices for adding another full book. Generally speaking, counting all comments both here in Discord and on Steam, it is close to 50/50 for and against a full book. On another note, the addition will have to be a free DLC as the addition will require a different age rating to the base game. A compromise we are thinking of is adding a small collection of images, say 4 or 5, either of people's favourite spots on the canvas or of the various logos we got onto the board (assuming we can get the images as clean PNGs) - let us know what you think as well as suggestions for areas of the canvas you'd potentially like to see in Coloring Pixels - Thank you all again!

Friday Edit: Well done everyone and thank you for your work yesterday on r/place! We kept our logo on the board for hours! Last time, we managed to get our logo shown on the final image and we thanked you all with the r/place book, we'd like to try again! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to get the ToastieLabs logo visible on the board! Once every 5 minutes, you can change the colour of a pixel on this image, we need to work together to get the following image drawn! The current plan is 42x16 pixels large, bigger than last year, so will require some teamwork. (If we achieve this, we could change and add to it as we go) If we manage to pull it off, we will add the immediate area to Coloring Pixles as a free bonus book image! Similar to the r/Place DLC book but just 1 500x500 image in order to offer a more achievable playing experience.

1 Week to go!

That's right, WooLoop is right around the corner! We are so excited about the release and hope you are too. Officially releasing next Friday, the 13th of January - A Spooky date for sure with all the nerves we are feeling! With other 100 levels to play and unwind to, you can play for hours and hours.

What's left to do?

3 main things are in progress for release.

Levels:

We still have about 1 Gallery's worth of levels to complete for next week; this may seem like a lot which is why we have hired some extra help for the next couple of months! If you are in our Discord you will have seen a "Toastie_Icy" who is our new Level Designer helping Rob make the final levels for WooLoop.

Bug Fixing and QA Testing:

Each new level needs playing to ensure there are no problems with the level before launch. As well as this, there are still a few minor bugs that are being corrected; each one needs double-checking and thorough testing.

Marketing:

As a small indie company, we have little to no marketing budget, so all marketing is done in-house. This week we went full throttle on our media outreach, contacting numerous press sites, bloggers, content creators and reviewers. This is the majority of the work done but it will need constant monitoring and input from us up to release. Keep an eye out on your social media, YouTube and Twitch to see people with early access play our game before Friday!

The Game Release

And this is pretty much it! Very exciting times here at ToastieLabs, we are busy and working hard to make sure the game is perfect for release. If you already follow game development updates, you may have seen snippets of WooLoop in our Dev Vlogs over the past year. A project Rob started in his spare time last Christmas! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1878910 A different take on our beloved game Coloring Pixels. The same relaxing and rewarding game feel but this time in a more creatively expressive manner!

What is WooLoop?

WooLoop is a game of creation. You build up great works of art by dragging your yarn in loops around various pins in your canvas. Slowly, one thread at a time, patterns will form, until eventually, you construct a beautifully woven masterpiece.
Wrap, weave, and wind your wool! Build works of art strand by strand, one loop at a time, in this tranquil game of craftsmanship. Draw inspiration from the large exhibition of levels available and unwind with the soothing soundtrack.

Follow Our Progress!

WooLoop is still a work in progress. Make sure you check out our Weekly Dev Vlogs on YouTube as well as Wishlisting the game on Steam to be kept up to date with all of the progress we make! We are planning to hold weekly Developer Broadcasts here on the Steam store page every Friday around 1 pm British Time so make sure you tune in for live interaction about the game! Milestone updates will be available here on our Website and on our Social Media.

Release Date

We are preparing to offer a Steam Demo during the October Next Fest next month! The full release of the game will be in early 2023, with exact dates to be confirmed

Another Year!

The 17th of August marks 4 years since the launch of Coloring Pixels! Even after all this time, the continued, lasting support and growth of this community still overwhelms us and we cannot thank all of you enough for helping us get this far! <3 It has been another milestone year for us here as ToastieLabs! Since the last anniversary, we have maintained the steady release schedule that we implemented in the previous year and we have managed to add 12 additional DLC books to Coloring Pixels! From Retro to the most recent Bakery book! That's 240 new levels, not to forget the free r/Place book which has caused a lot of you original players to return to our game! As a result of the growth you have all permitted, we have been able to expand our small team (2 people) to be not quite as small - we now have a full-time artist who can dedicate even more time to Coloring Pixels! We have plans to continue the support for our community and aim to make another year of DLC, along with some requested feature updates from you, our community. To celebrate this momentous milestone: We have added a new free bonus image to Coloring Pixels, we are hosting the 4th annual pixel art competition, and all* available ToastieLabs games and DLC on Steam will be 20% off all week long! DLC that is within a month of release is not included in the ToastieLabs sale*

ToastieLabs Games Studio Growth

We are still a fledgling Games Studio as we are approaching 2 years of full-time ToastieLabs this September. We are very proud of what we have managed to achieve in this short time with your help! 4 Huge milestones!

• We have started releasing our games on Nintendo Switch, both hexceed and Coloring Pixels!
• We have changed from a Self-Employed studio to a Limited Company (boring I know, but an important step for us)
• We are moving into a new much bigger office! We hope to be there a while, so it will be nice to have somewhere to call home for the next few years!
• Lastly and more importantly, we have hired a 3rd member of our team! Jack, a Junior Digital Artist!

Coloring Pixels Changes

Most of the Coloring Pixels DLC work was handed over once more, this time Lee is passing the responsibilities of Coloring Pixels over to Jack, our new Full-time Digital Artist. For you Coloring Pixels lovers, this means that the artwork in-game can be more consistent and more importantly, better altered with your feedback. I strongly recommend you join our Discord server where Jack regularly interacts with our members to seek feedback, improvement and ideas! For us as a games studio, it frees up Rob and Lee to focus on supporting all our games regularly as well as developing brand new, more ambitious titles!

The new DLC process has been refined!

As we are sticking to a monthly release schedule for new Coloring Pixels books, we are very quickly going through the list of ideas we originally had. In order to address this, we have included the community in our 3 step decision-making process! Make a Suggestion - You can send us your suggestions for book themes in any format! Be that email, Steam Community, Discord or Twitter! If we like it, we pop it in our Discord Server Discord Voting - All the ideas get put in a big long list on our Discord server, anyone in our Discord can add reactions to the ideas they want to see next in Coloring Pixels! Patreon get's the final say - The top 5 reacted suggestions in the big list, get sent to our Patreons in a monthly poll, to thank our Patreons for going the extra mile to support us, they all get to vote on which of the 5 ideas they want to see next month! So if you have any suggestions, let us know, get voting in Discord and your idea could be the next one we make for Coloring Pixels!

After our learning process last year with hexceed - we were very excited to jump right in with a Nintendo Switch build of Coloring Pixels: Collection 1 We were cautious of the change in sale format from Steam to Switch but you have received the game so well that we have already made a start on Collection 2! Who Shuffled My Shapes?

A step into the unknown! We created a brand new game, Who Shuffled My Shapes? A Rubik's cube-inspired puzzle game with 20 different shapes for you to enjoy. The purpose of this title was for us to trial a number of things, an experiment if you may.

• Firstly we wanted to dip our toes into the world of 3D Games, although this game is very light, it was still a good practice ground to get familiar with the ins and outs of a 3D environment.

This is a regular festival held by Valve for new titles to all be put into the spotlight with a week of free demos, developer live streams and community interaction - this was incredibly fun for us to do and something we will certainly be looking at again for future releases!

To celebrate the 4-year anniversary of Coloring Pixels, were hosting another competition! Now is your chance to get your own pixel art in Coloring Pixels! The 20 winners of this competition will have their pixel art featured in a free update to Coloring Pixels. It's very easy to enter; keep reading to find out all the information you need. When you're ready, click on the link at the bottom. The deadline is the 14th of October 2022 at 17:00 UTC, the winners will be announced on the 21st of October 2022 via a blog post on our website, Steam announcement, Discord, and Twitter. Links to the socials can be found on our website!

Rules and Suggestions

We need to make sure that your pixel art is compatible for use in Coloring Pixels. To help improve your chances, we have come up with a few simple rules for you to follow and some suggestions to help you get started.

Rules (the dull bit):

• You must submit an image of file type PNG. Sadly, PNG is the only image file format supported by Coloring Pixels. Other formats can easily be converted to PNG through most image editing software and online converters.
• The image must have a maximum dimension of 300x300 pixels. As you will have noticed, the larger images in Coloring Pixels take exponentially more time to complete. Although we know a lot of you prefer larger images, we don't want levels taking weeks to complete.
• Submission must have fewer than 100 different colors. The fewer colors, the better for Coloring Pixels; so try to keep to as few as possible. It isn't easy to know how many different colours there are in an image, so if you accidentally submit more than 100 colors it will be alright (we will need to pass your image through a filter). Some applications such as Aseprite let you create a color palette (which we recommend) which allows you to keep track of colors easily. If you choose an application such as paint.net we recommend sticking to the pencil tool over using paintbrush tools as they can often create numerous different shades of colors in an attempt to blend with the background.
• You must submit pixel art. A simple but important rule, the artwork you submit must be in the style of pixel art, resized photographs or graphical art will not be selected if no pixel art alterations have been made to the image.

Suggestions

• Size doesn't matter! As long as you keep within the 300x300 image dimension limit you won't be penalised for submitting a smaller image. We will be judging submissions based on aesthetics and not complexity. For example, submitting an image of size 10x20 will be judged equally to one of size 150x200.
• "Which software should I use?" We recommend using either Aseprite or Paint.net (free). Both are very powerful pieces of software that are more than capable of creating pixel art for this competition. That being said, you can use whichever software you want, as long as you can draw and produce a PNG file it should be good enough.
• "I've gone brain dead... I need inspiration!" - We can't choose for you, but you can draw anything. If you can't think of anything new or inspiring, try drawing something you love (film, game, pet fish, lasagne) or even something on your desk (Keys, a book, the framed ToastieLabs Poster you got from our merch store).
• "Can I submit multiple times?" Yes, don't hold back! Submit as many images as you like. We will judge each image anonymously and individually.

Who Shuffled My Shapes?

Our newest game project, Who Shuffled My Shapes?, is coming out early next month! If you can't wait to get your hands on our shapes, we have a demo that is available to play for free right now! Head over to the store page to download and play. Who Shuffled My Shapes? is a Rubik's cube-inspired game, our first step into creating puzzles in a 3D space. In order to make our game different to other digital cube games, we decided to go all-in and offer 20 different puzzles in 1 game! Multiple shapes and sizes are all included in this release. What's different between the Switch and PC versions?

When creating the Switch build of Coloring Pixels, we wanted the game to be as accessible as possible to new players. We settled on making a collection of 8 of the favourite, diverse DLCs from the PC game. This way we don't overload the players with a long list of different books whilst also keeping the cost of the game down. The 8 books available in Collection 1 are: Isometric, Space, Patterns, Vistas, Flowers, Farm, Marine Life and Landmarks.
Another appeal for playing on Switch is the updated control system. For the first time ever we officially have a control scheme for a controller layout! This combined with the Nintendo Switches' built-in touchscreen allows you to play Coloring Pixels like never before!

The Future of Coloring Pixels on Switch

As of right now, there is no exact plan for what we are doing next, however, as you can probably tell from the name "Collection 1" - we are certainly looking at the idea of offering multiple collections, each with its own set of books. The rPlace Book is here for FREE!

We want to thank our community for coming together and getting our Logo represented on the r/Place subreddit that was hosted by Reddit as an April Fools. As such we have put the final artwork from r/Place into the game. The 2000x2000px image has been cut into 16, 500x500px images and put into Coloring Pixels! Even divided into 16, these are the largest ever images in Coloring Pixels! The book is a Free DLC instead of a free update due to the mild mature content in the image. Who Shuffled My Shapes?

For those of you who follow our Dev Blogs, you will know that this is a game we have been working on for a number of months now. Based on our love for mind-teasing puzzle toys, we wanted to create a fun project to bring our enjoyment to the digital world - As such, "Who Shuffled My Shapes?" was born!

What is "Who Shuffled My Shapes?"(?)

Who Shuffled My Shapes? is a mega-pack of 20 famous puzzle cubes (and other 3D shapes) for you to solve to keep your mind sharp!
Various shapes have been shuffled and your goal is to un-shuffle them back to their original layout! Each puzzle is unique, you will have to learn each's nuances to solve them. Sounds simple but its not. With some of the simpler puzzles offering over 43 quintillion possible configurations (thats 43,000,000,000,000,000,000), finding the single correct one will be a challenge! If you do complete a puzzle, reshuffle it and try to beat your best time! The puzzles aren't all cubes. We have made 20 different puzzles for you to enjoy, from the classic 6 sided cuboids, 4 sided pyrmainx, all the way to 12 sided megaminx's, non-symmetrical mirror cubes and more!

"Why is it snowing in Coloring Pixels?"

You may notice that no matter what image you are coloring, the background is icy blue and there is pixel snow falling down the screen!
This is our Christmas seasonal effect! During the whole month of December, to get us all in the Christmas spirit, we play this effect! You can choose to take part by enabling or disabling "Seasonal Effects" on the settings page.

"I've bought all 3 Advent DLC but can't play them!"

If you are kind enough to have purchased Advent 1, 2 and/or 3 (Thank you!) you will notice that your book looks like this!
Don't worry it's not broken! The Advent Books work just like actual advent calendars! That means from the 1st of December, all the way to Christmas Eve you get a nice Christmasy treat every single day! (But in this case, it's a new picture to color instead of tasty chocolate!) Just scroll down and find today's door, open it up and start coloring! Advent 1 and 2 can be opened early if you are too excited to wait, just go to the settings and look for "Keep Old Advent Books Unlocked" to play them right away.
