Inspired by games like Else Heart.break(), Hacknet, Uplink, and Deus Ex, Bitburner is a programming-based incremental RPG where you, the player, take the role of an unknown hacker in a dark, dystopian world. The game provides a variety of mechanics and systems that can be changed through coding and solved or automated in whatever way you find suitable.
While a very basic programming background is recommended, it is not required to play the game!

We are preparing v2.0.0. One part of this release is the new work system which breaks some API. But while were at it we are going to fix a few other pain points in the API. In exchange when it launches everyone gets +10 level of NFG.

You can play v2.0.0 by switching over to the development branch.
