I started playing Elden Ring recently and with Proton GE it is working quite well. Sometimes it still fails to start so that I need to do it multiple times. Rarely it crashs. However my main confusion is about PvP: Aren't you getting invaded every now and then? I see messages and ghosts of other players, but I never got invaded and I played it for almost 100 hours. Am I missing something or are random invasions no longer a thing in Elden Ring? (not that I really want to be invaded, I am just wondering)

Random invasions only happen if you: 1. Play with your friends/cooperate with other players. 2. You use the "Taunter's Tongue" item to attract invaders to your solo game. I believe FromSoftware probably did this to make Elden Ring more accessible to new players who wanted to play online alone in order to see player messages and hints without being invaded.

gamemoderun and disabling FSYNC is no longer needed for Elden Ring. And stuttering is coming from crap DX12. I dont know why devs keep working with DX12 instead VULKAN. Maybe MS is paying to them to do that. Just use proton experimental and go. And never force exit from game or stop process to make it close faster if you want game to start every time. I have 500+ hours of play already only on linux, because i dont have Win and dont want to.
