+Luay Zhaeear the problem with league of legends is the launcher/game shop does not work. This has been a constant problem for league in linux. You can play matches fine but cannot buy characters/runes/etc

+vix nano101 Just wanted to let you know, you always have to uncheck the multi thread processing in the launcher options, otherwise you will still get stutter [learned that from a forum post]. I noticed you had it checked marked when you reopened the launcher for the second time, that's why. Unfortunately, you have to do it every time you relaunch the launcher/game as it doesn't stick... I just thought I would let you know :)

thanks it's run with me with out any problem with 250 fps but the bad thinks it's not staple with out to change anything I get error when reopen next day hhhhh

+Luay Zhaeear I dont know if you're talking about league or warframe. Like I said man I can't do a league video because the league store doesnt function properly. I dont want to do a video on something that doesnt at least have known full functionality already.

Only some Windows-only games require this amount of effort. Native Linux games are just as easy to run as native Windows games are on Windows, it's not any harder in the least.

I agree, fortunately there are plenty of native games now that run pretty well. Just a shame more developers don't support Linux.

This is one of the hardest games I've had to get running on Wine by far. One annoying issue is it saying I have the wrong DirectX9 packages and then it tries to download and fails to install them. Somebody created a script that constantly deletes the packages that are downloaded on launch and that solves the problem. I then managed to play the game for about a minute before it locks up my system, yay! I'm going to follow your guide and give it another go, but I'm not sure I have the patience if it keeps locking my system up :'-(

Can you do one of these guides for Path of Exile?

Question: what do I do if the Launcher keeps crashing and reopening itself after an update? I've had this problem before when I tried to install WF on Mint, but I don't remember what I did to get it working.

This just won't work for me with a non-Steam installation. If I use the .msi file to install, I just get a launcher error when the update process starts. If I use the "standalone" .exe, the launcher will be stuck in a loop of crashing and restarting.

I have the same problem though I did occasionally manage to install and play he game by replacing Launcher.exe with the Launcher.exe.tmp that the launcher downloads but gets stuck in a loop due to not being able to replace Launcher.exe

Tried the Steam install method, still had the launcher crash loop.

Did you get the last update "Specters of the rail" without troubles? like directx fail or anything else

Can you do a video on setting up a kernel virtual machine in Arch and passing a GPU through to it? That would be fucking badass there's so much confusing shit on the internet from different distros that I can't find a clear, definitive guide for doing it.

does this work on manjaro?
