As a longtime fan of 2 (even with how controversial it's always been), this really impresses me especially after having played the Switch port of 2 Remastered, where even with serious dynamic resolution shenanigans (it drops far below 720p pretty much at all times) it still usually can't maintain 30FPS in combat even with its very low graphics settings I really consider the Switch versions of the trilogy to be a novelty at best because of it, because it just really doesn't run well enough to be particularly playable, and to add insult to injury it has a horrible gyro aim implementation too (thank god the Deck has Steam Input for this stuff) Not surprising for the hardware I guess, but it really shows how much better the Deck is that it can handle this game on Ultra at native res while staying well above 30FPS, I might use the 30FPS cap in Gamescope if I play it on here myself to keep it consistent but I'm happy that it'll be a very stable experience while still looking awesome, and if I feel the need to run it at 60 I can just start turning settings down until it gets more consistent

Keep testing old games on the Steam Deck. I want to see how it handles old games.

@@djp1234 have you bought a Steam Deck yet? I've tried a bunch of those listed games and was pleasantly surprised at how well they run. Can remember struggling to run these games back in the day with my potato PCs. Funny how things change!!

@@gamingonlinux First start with the most popular classics. Doom 1-3, Duke Nukem, Quake 1-4, Half Life 1-2. Then do popular games from the 2000's. Bioshock, Dead Space, Unreal 1-2, Halo, GTA 3-5, FEAR, Crysis 1, 3. There's a lot more I can't remember right now.

Video I would love to see: Tutorial for using Frosty Mod Manager. I looked at a Reddit post about it and would love to see visuals. Ex: Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) mods. Maybe even an attempt at using Kyber servers to work? There are video tutorials for Windows but not Linux. Also, tutorials on using other mod services.
