@@jimjam4real Hey, thanks for the answer :) Right now I have an actual SteamOS 3 installation up and running, and spent a couple of days with it. Indeed, there is a substantial difference vs the old BPM input configurations screen. I'm happy with some features of it, not quite with others, but I really have to use it even more to get a fair opinion. I mean, I used the old one for what, almost 10 years? :) Gotta give the new one a chance. Thanks again.

@@airspeedmph Having tested it out using a beta client on Arch Linux (DIY SteamOS 3.0 in Google got me some instructions), Steam input works very well on Steam controller in the new UI, but isn't yet fully featured. Trackpads have their own category, and the paddles are listed under the buttons tab. The features you can already map work very well, as keyboard, mouse, gamepad, and media keys are kept in different categories, and are much easier to navigate to on a controller. Where it falls apart for me is the lack of mode shifting - once a trackpad or trigger is mapped, there's no way to assign secondary functions to it (such as a click in dpad on a mouse mapped trackpad) An overlay of all the controls is still available to look at after configuring, but everything else is done within the tabs.

@@gamingonlinux No, I meant that I'm curious how the interface looks like now, does it still have the old BPM intuitive and graphical style of configuration, or is reduced to a bare minimum?
